The most particular event of the entire PGA Tour calendar is staged in Albany. It is written Hero World Challenge, it reads a parade of great names. Scottie Scheffler’s run remains a source of great interest, as he has possible combinations to take back the global leadership by taking it from Rory McIlroy’s hand. The winner of the last edition is the Norwegian Viktor Hovland, the first success of his career here.
Overall, from 2016 to today and considering a year of stop from Covid (2020), the last American to soar was Rickie Fowler in 2017. He holds the record over 18 holes: 61 strokes in the winning year. Of the 72, however, Jordan Spieth made 262 in 2014.

That win, in turn, came weeks after his first win on the PGA Tour at the WM Phoenix Open in February 2022.[2] He then went on to win his fourth tournament of the year and his first major tournament at The Masters Tournament, 2022. He competed in the 2021 Ryder Cup.
