Iga Swiatek says she is trying to accept and move on from what happened at the Australian Open. Swiatek, who was seeded at No 1, suffered a straight-set defeat to Elena Rybakina in the Australian Open round-of-16. Swiatek wasn’t her usual self at the Australian Open and now she has vowed to “keep learning and working hard.” “Back home.
Accept, adjust, move on. Thank you @AustralianOpen and thanks to all of you for your support. Not the result I wanted but I will keep learning and keep working hard with no expectations. See you soon! P.S. ‘It never gets easier. You just get better,'”

Swiatek advised to ‘work on handling the pressure’
After losing to Rybakina, Swiatek admitted that the pressure was too big on her at the Australian Open and that it negatively impacted her.
Agnieszka Radwanska, a Polish tennis legend, advised Swiatek to “work on how to handle the pressure.” “I think she’s going to have a really tough season because of all the pressure from last year. She is defending everything, pretty much every single week, so it’s hard, and it’s not easy that everybody wants to beat you because you are world No.
1. She really needs to work on how to handle the pressure, that’s the main key. But I think that she’s still going to do great things this year, and she’s just lost against Rybakina, who just won Wimbledon, so it was a tough one.
Rybakina was playing solid tennis from the beginning until the end, but the season’s not over, so I think she’s still going to do great,” Radwanska told Eurosport. Swiatek is set to return to action in February as she is set to compete in Doha and Dubai.
Last year, Swiatek’s win streak of 37 matches started in Doha. It remains to be seen if Swiatek can start another major win streak next month.
