Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all competing to seal major signings as the January transfer deadline approaches fast. Arsenal have already landed Leandro Trossard and are about to sign Jakub Kiwior, while they are also awaiting a verdict on Ivan Fresneda’s move to north London. Weston McKennie is a new target for their midfield after Martin Zubimendi’s rejection.

Declan Rice is also believed to be favouring the Gunners over Manchester United and Chelsea, who are back in for Enzo Fernandez and plotting a new bid for Moises Caicedo. With Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke now signed, the Blues could offload Hakim Ziyech.

Tottenham are hot on the trail of Nicolo Zaniolo, who wants to leave Roma this month. Spurs could agree a huge new deal with Harry Kane, while Manchester United are said to have been offered Dusan Zlahovic and Liverpool remain linked with Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Jude Bellingham. Chelsea back in for Fernandez

Reports in Portugal have claimed Chelsea remain in contact to sign Enzo Fernandez.

But if they cannot pay his £106m release clause this month, it will be no easier in the summer market.

According to AS, Real Madrid are formulating a deal for Fernandez with Benfica previously only insisting they will not enter negotiatons over his sale this month. Well then.

McKennie next on Arsenal’s radar

Arsenal really are ramping up their January transfer business!

Weston McKennie is next on their agenda, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, with Juventus open to selling the midfielder.

An up-front fee as low as £17.5million, plus bonuses, will be enough to secure a deal.

Borussia Dortmund, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Fulham also eye the American. Although, it is said he wants a top club if he leaves Juve – and where more ‘top’ than the Premier League leaders?

Ziyech attracting interest

Roma, Newcastle and Everton have all made contact with Chelsea over a deal for Hakim Ziyech, Standard Sport understand.

With Graham Potter expressing his concern over such a big squad, the Moroccan winger could be ripe for a sale but he has hit a good spurt of form in recent weeks.

Trevoh Chalobah and Conor Gallagher have also been the subject of loan enquiries but Chelsea will keep the duo.

Kiwior to Arsenal latest

Arsenal will pay £17.5million to land Jakub Kiwior having agreed to pay Spezia £3.5m in add-ons.

He is today expected to sign a contract to 2027 with Standard Sport told that a club option for an extra 12 months is part of the deal.

Mikel Arteta has been seeking a left-sided centre-back for some time and Kiwior fits that bill, with an announcement of his arrival due soon.

Kane happy to stay at Spurs

Harry Kane is open to the idea of extending his contract at Tottenham, Standard Sport understand.

New discussions could begin in February as the striker enters the final 18 months of his existing deal.

Arsenal miss out on Camavinga

Arsenal’s bid for Eduardo Camavinga is dead in the water.

Standard Sport revealed last week that the Real Madrid midfielder was on their wish list for an audacious loan swoop.

But, after Carlo Ancelotti shot down Arsenal’s hopes, Fabrizio Romano today reports that Camavinga remains a key player for Real.

Sporting staunch amid Spurs’ Porro pursuit

Tottenham have offered to give up Marcus Edwards’ 50 per cent sell-on fee in negotiations for Pedro Porro.

An offer of £30m has been rejected by Sporting CP, as reported by Portuguese outlet Record.

A second bid including Edwards’ clause, more money up-front and more add-ons has now reportedly been launched.

But Sporting as adamant that only his £39.5m release clause, paid in one lump sum, will suffice for Porro.

However, should the full-back leave, Heerenveen’s Milan van Ewijk has been identified as his replacement.

Sarri back to England?

More manager movements now as Maurizio Sarri’s name pops up on the radar of several English clubs.

Il Messaggero name Tottenham, West Ham and Everton as interested in the ex-Chelsea boss.

Sarri is under contract at Lazio to 2025 and reportedly would like to see out his project in the Italian capital.

Milan rival Spurs for Zaniolo

Competition for Tottenham in their bid to sign Nicolo Zaniolo.

AC Milan are also keen on the winger, according to Tuttosport, in a move that the Roma winger has given the green light too.

The finances are the sticking point though, with Roma demanding over £30m – given they owe a 15 per cent sell-on fee to Inter Milan.

Jose Mourinho said of Zaniolo’s situation last night: “Let’s see what happens, my feeling is that he’ll be here in February, but the transfer market is open and his will is to leave.”

Fresneda to make Arsenal decision today

Arsenal target Ivan Fresneda is deciding between the Gunners and Borussia Dortmund.

The Athletic put the fee at £13.1m and both clubs have agreed personal terms, plus a clause to loan him back to Valladolid for the rest of the season.

A decision could come as soon as today so, watch this space!
