Transfer news LIVE: Chelsea eye Spurs' Bissouma, Arsenal agree Trossard deal plus Man Utd's Dumfries battle

The January transfer window is about to go into overdrive, with deadline day fast approaching and Premier League teams scrambling to get business done.

Arsenal are leading the headlines after agreeing a £27million deal and personal terms to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton. Chelsea, meanwhile, are keen to splash the cash even further, with a £35m agreement in place for Noni Madueke of PSV Eindhoven, and they’re also linked with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma alongside Brighton playmaker Moises Caicedo.

Manchester United have also been tipped to head back in the market through a move for Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries, having already completed the signings of Wout Weghorst and Jack Butland, both on loan until the end of the season. There are also fresh developments on the future of Jude Bellingham, who Liverpool are battling Real Madrid over.

Arsenal sell defender to Ipswich

Arsenal have sold centre-back Harry Clarke to Ipswich Town with the defender having now departed the Emirates Stadium.

The young centre-back spent the first half of the season on-loan at Stoke City but having been recalled by the Gunners has no exited once more having penned a permanent deal with Ipswich until 2026.

Bournemouth seal Outtara signing

Bournemouth have bolstered their forward options with the signing of Lorient forward Dango Outtara.

He becomes the relegation-threatened side’s first addition of the January transfer window having put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half year contract.

Real Madrid informed of Jude Bellingham interest

Real Madrid and Liverpool target Jude Bellingham is reportedly in talks with the Reds having made the Spanish side aware of the developments regarding his future.

According to Jan Aage Fjortoft, his entourage have told Real that they are in discussions with Liverpool but as of yet there is no favourites for his services.

Brighton turn down Caicedo offer

Chelsea’s January plans have been hit with a fair bit of resistance with Brighton having reportedly rejected their bid for Yves Bissouma.

As per The Athletic, the Seagulls have turned down an offer of £55m for the midfielder – Chelsea having lodged a written offer earlier for his services earlier this week.

It remains to be seen if the Blues up their offer for him in the near future or turn to alternatives.

Wolves agree Dawson fee

Wolves have found a breakthrough in talks with West Ham as they attempt to sign defender Craig Dawson.

The Midlands outfit had their first offer for his services turned down but according to talkSPORT, Wolves have now agreed to pay £3.3m for the centre-back’s services and hope to have him available this weekend.

Tottenham table Zaniolo loan offer

Staying in North London with Spurs this time aiming to add to their squad. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Antonio Conte’s men have tabled a loan offer for Nicolo Zaniolo.

He has been backed to leave Roma this January with Tottenham having reportedly made the first move with a loan offer, as well as an obligation to buy. They could face competition though with West Ham and Borussia Dortmund also noted as admirers.

Chelsea make Bissouma enquiry

Chelsea look set to continue their huge January spending with a shock swoop for Spurs star Yves Bissouma.

The midfielder only joined Tottenham from Brighton in the summer but could be on the move once more with Chelsea interested in signing him as per The Telegraph.

It is suggested that the North Londoners are not interested in selling and have given their rivals no encouragement whatsoever.

Guedes set for Wolves exit

Goncalo Guedes is set to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers just a few months after sealing a £27m switch to Molineux.

According to Mail Online, the Portuguese is set to seal a loan move to Benfica and is expected in his home country tonight to go through all of the necessary paperwork.

DONE DEAL for Man Utd

We’ve got a done deal from Old Trafford with Man Utd youngster Shola Shoretire signing a loan deal with Bolton Wanderers.

He joins the League One side on loan until the end of the current campaign.

Moukouko closes on new Dortmund deal

Barcelona and Chelsea’s attempts to sign Youssoufa Moukoko have been hit with a huge blow with the German edging towards a new deal.

The teenage frontman was out of contract at the end of this season but according to BILD, he is set to renew his deal with Borussia Dortmund.

Leicester lodge Souttar bid

Staying in the Midlands now with Leicester City havqing reportedly lodged a bid for Stoke City defender Harry Souttar.

The centre-back caught the eye during the recent World Cup in Qatar and the Foxes are keen on adding him to their defensive ranks. As per Gianluca di Marzio, Leicester have tabled a £10m bid to Stoke but they are not yet convinced on a sale.

As per the same reports, it is suggested that the Foxes also hold an interest in Shaktar Donetsk winger Tete but a deal would be complicated due to his loan spell with Lyon.

Villa make Dembele move

With Aston Villa on the verge of selling Danny Ings to West Ham, it appears that Uniai Emery is keen on bolstering his forward options.

As per The Daily Mail, Villa have submitted an enquiry to Lyon for striker Moussa Dembele. It is suggested that the Premier League side are interested in a move in the summer but could firm up their interest with a move this window for a small fee.

Toon plot Calvert-Lewin move

Newcastle have been linked with a £35m move for Everton striker Dominc Calvert-Lewin.

The England international has endured an injury ravaged season and has scored just once for the struggling Toffees.

But the Sun claim the Magpies are still interested and although they are willing to wait until the summer, his current club are braced for bids this month. Eddie Howe’s squad is set to lose a striker this week, with Chris Wood nearing a loan move to Nottingham Forest.

Forest agree Wood terms

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with Newcastle for striker Chris Wood, the Telegraph report.

The New Zealand striker, 31, is due in Nottingham for a medical this evening and will sign on loan until the end of the season.

Wood’s deal is said to include an obligation to make move permanent based on certain triggers.

Chelsea strike Madueke deal

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal with PSV Eindhoven for Noni Madueke worth up to £34million.

According to ED in Holland, the 20-year-old English winger is poised to sign for the Blues.

Emery confirms Ings to West Ham

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has confirmed that West Ham will sign Danny Ings, with the 30-year-old striker currently undergoing a medical in London.

The fee is belived to be £15million.

“He will sign with West Ham,” Emery said. “His commitment was amazing here, with his teammates and he helped to better our performance. I decided to let him go, because I think for him it was a very good offer, for the club as well.”

Trossard to Arsenal a ‘done deal’

Arsenal’s move for Leandro Trossard is a done deal, multiple reports claim.

The Gunners are expected pay a total of £27million for the 28-year-old Belgian forward, after he fell out with Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Bournemouth bid rejected

The 23-year-old Ghana international has scored five goals in the Championship this season and now Bournemouth will reportedly move on other targets.

Salah spotted with PSG chief

Mohamed Salah allegedly had lunch with Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi amid reports of Qatar potentially investing in the Merseyside club.

The Egyptian forward is said to have dined with the PSG chief at the swanky Ritz Restaurant in central London earlier this month. It is unclear when the lunch took place, although it has been suggested in Qatar that the meeting occurred around the Red’s 3-1 Premier League defeat by Brentford in the capital.

The 34-year-old Swiss goalkeeper leaves Borussia Monchengladbach after eight-and-a-half years to cover in Manuel Neuer’s absence at Bayern.

Villa and Everton battle for Dembele

Aston Villa have reportedly joined Everton in their pursuit of Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.

Foot Mercato claim that both Premier League clubs are keen on signing the 26-year-old Frenchman, who’s out of contract at the end of this season.

Garner returns to Carlisle

Carlisle United have confirmed the return of striker Joe Garner, who joins from Fleetwood Town on an 18-month deal.

Garner, 34, has previously enjoyed three goal-laden spells with the Cumbrians and will bid to help Paul Simpson’s side earn promotion from League Two this season.

Bielsa ‘main candidate’ for Mexico job

Marcelo Bielsa is the leading candidate to take over as Mexico boss, according to ESPN.

Mexico parted ways with previous incumbent Tata Martino after being eliminated from the World Cup after the group stages.

Former Leeds boss Bielsa has managed in Mexico in the past, taking charge of Atlas and Club America in the 90s.

Rookie in frame for Pompey job

Oxford United midfielder John Mousinho is reportedly in the running to be the new Portsmouth boss.

Pompey are believed to be on the verge of appointing a successor to Danny Cowley, who was axed earlier this month.

And now numerous reports have claimed that Mousinho, who still plays for Oxford and is the current Chairman of the PFA, is a candidate for the Fratton Park vacancy.

Wigan set to win Gelhardt race

According to The Athletic, Wigan look set to win the race to sign Leeds striker Joe Gelhardt on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old, who left the Tics back in 2020 after they entered administration, was also being pursued by a host of other Championship clubs including Swansea City.

But Gelhardt is set to rejoin his former club, who are attempting to stave off relegation this term under new boss Kolo Toure.

Chelsea make £65m Caicedo enquiry

Chelsea have reportedly tested Brighton’s resolve with a £65million offer for Moises Caicedo.

The Blues are avid admirer of the midfielder, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool this month.

CBS are now reporting that Chelsea have ‘tested the waters’ with a figure of £65m – some way short of Brighton’s £75m valuation.
