The World Corporate Golf Challenge Italy enters the Major era. The 2023 WCGC calendar, already packed with 30 qualifying rounds, is enhanced and will close with a unique event. The location? Exclusive and precious: the Golf Club Milano, which will host the first edition of this event (with a capital e) in its first edition.
The name of the event? Saratoga Championship, which debuts as the first Major of the most recognized and important circuit in the world, reserved for teams/companies. The format of the Major will be characterized by a day of competition, with special contents, among which the gala dinner served on the beautiful terrace of the club, offered by the sponsor, at the end of the day’s award ceremony, will stand out.

The award ceremony will also include a distinctive element of the event: the best couples/teams will obtain direct access to the National Final of the 2023 tournament, which will be played in May 2024 at Golf National Paris, the iconic course of the unforgettable 2018 Ryder Cup edition .

The Major event will be limited in number and will have a separate registration formula compared to joining the tournament. The Rules of Golf are a set of standard rules and procedures by which the sport of golf should be played.
They are jointly written and maintained by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the governing body for golf worldwide, outside of the United States and Mexico, which are governed by the United States Golf Association.
An expert commission made up of members of the R&A and USGA, oversees and refines the rules every four years. The latest revision has been in force since January 1, 2016. Changes to the rules of golf generally fall into two main categories: those that improve understanding and those that in certain cases reduce penalties to ensure balance.
The rule book, entitled “Rules of Golf”, is published on a regular basis and also includes rules governing amateur status. In Italy it is up to Federgolf to supervise the competitions by enforcing the rules issued by the R & A, checking that these rules are observed by the Clubs, Associations and their members and manages the resulting sporting justice, protecting their interests abroad.
