The long-awaited FIFA 23 TOTY Ultimate XI squad has officially been revealed by EA Sports, featuring some of the world’s best players.
The TOTY promo is the biggest Ultimate Team yearly event, the FIFA 23 TOTY does not disappoint, with the world’s best players receiving some mouth-watering TOTY player items with heavily-boosted stats. Like FIFA 21 and FIFA 22, EA opened the TOTY XI vote to the public, and out of 100 nominees, the most-selected XI has been revealed.
2022 World Cup winner Lionel Messi stars in the attack alongside Paris Saint-Germain teammate and World Cup top scorer Kylian Mbappe, whilst Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema has also made the squad. There have also been some surprise inclusions, with one Liverpool star making the XI and a Real Madrid midfielder missing out.
The FIFA 23 Team of the Year (TOTY) Ultimate XI was confirmed by EA Sports and is available to view now, but the TOTY event is set to begin in Ultimate Team on Friday, January 20 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT, so these cards won’t be available in packs just yet.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain both have the most players featured in the FIFA 23 TOTY XI, with three from each side included. Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is a surprise inclusion in midfield, whilst Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne makes the TOTY XI for the sixth-consecutive FIFA title.
The entire FIFA 23 TOTY Final XI will be available in packs from Thursday, January 26 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT.
But the squad will start to be released into FIFA 23 Ultimate Team on Friday, January 20 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT. The TOTY attackers will be available from Friday, January 20 to Saturday, January 21, with the midfielders on Sunday, January 22 until Monday, January 23 and the defenders and goalkeeper from Tuesday, January 24 until Wednesday, January 25.

For the FIFA 23 TOTY promo, 14 TOTY Icon players will be released into FUT 23 on Friday, January 20 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT. Imagine FUT Icons, but with even higher attributes!

FIFA 23 Team of the Year (TOTY) 12th man
As ever, the three players to narrowly miss out on a place in the FIFA 23 TOTY squad have been given the opportunity to be named as TOTY 12th man item, giving them a fully-fledged TOTY player item. Here are the 12th man contenders:
- Erling Haaland (Man City)
- Federico Valverde (Real Madrid)
- Joao Cancelo (Man City)
But, just as with the TOTY squad, fans will have to vote for the player they want to be named as the 12th man. The 12th man voting will kick off within FUT 23 from Monday, January 23.
