Chanda Rubin, the 1996 Australian Open women’s doubles champion, believes Serena Williams will return to professional tennis in 2023. Williams, who turned 41 in September, ended her amazing career after the US Open. Rubin, who also reached the semifinals in the singles event at the 1996 Australian Open, was asked on Tennis Channel for her thoughts on 2023.
“I think Serena Williams, we haven’t seen the last of her on the tennis court, will be back in 2023 – at an event, a live event, I’m saying it now, not an exhibition.
