Czech tennis sensation Linda Noskova described beating Serena and Venus Williams as “the greatest feeling of my tennis career.” During the 2022 US Open, Noskova and fellow Czech Lucie Hradecka clashed against the Williams sisters in a doubles match.

In the US Open doubles first round, Noskova and Hradecka ousted the Williams sisters 7-6 (5) 6-4. “That was definitely the greatest feeling of my tennis career so far. So I’m just going to live with this, which is great.

To face two greatest champions, my role models let’s say, it was just incredible feeling, just playing on that court and just facing these two. The win didn’t matter that much, so, amazing tournament. I’m just looking forward to coming back there next year – this year, I mean,” Noskova recalled, per Sportskeeda.

After beating the Williams sisters, Noskova makes more notable results

18-year-old Noskova has started her 2023 season with a bang. First, Noskova won two qualifying matches to earn a main draw place at the Adelaide International.

Then, Noskova claimed outstanding wins to make her first final of the year – she defeated world No 2 Ons Jabeur, former world No 1 Victoria Azarenka, and eighth-ranked Daria Kasatkina. After beating Kasatkina and Azarenka, Noskova defeated first-seeded Jabeur in the Adelaide semifinal with a 6-3 1-6 6-3 score.

Noskova came out playing fearless tennis as she broke Jabeur early for a 3-0 lead. In the eighth game – when Jabeur was serving to stay in the first set – Noskova missed out on three consecutive set points. But blowing three set points didn’t impact Noskova, who routinely served out for the first set in the ninth game.

Jabeur bounced back in the second set, breaking Noskova twice to send the match into a decider. After losing the second set, Noskova saved three consecutive break points in the first game of the third set. Then, Noskova broke Jabeur in the fourth game and then held on to her serve the rest of the match to clinch a big win over the two-time Grand Slam finalist.
