In any case, this is what this video suggests where the American, winner of the US Open in 2020, has fun aiming for the pennant of a flag placed in front of him a hundred meters away with this comment : ”in 2023, we aim for the flags” BDC hits three-quarter shots with a relatively closed club and the ball does not rise more than 2 meters throughout its flight.

Twice in a row it struck the red mast flag about 100 meters away. Great art! In 2010, at age 16, he won the California State Junior Championship. In June 2015, he became the first Southern Methodist University to win the NCAA Division I Championship, with a career-high 280 (-8).

Another notable victory came in August, in the U.S. Amateur. Meanwhile, he had made his debut on the PGA Tour as an amateur in the St. Jude Classic and then participated in the first Major, the U.S. open. In November he finished second in the professional tournament of the Australian Masters.

The following season he reached twenty-first place at the Masters, after which he turned pro. He got off to a good start with fourth at RBC Heritage and fifteenth at the U.S. Open, however he failed to get a card to the 2017 PGA Tour, but qualified to the Web.com Tour Finals, where he got the card thanks to winning the DAP Championship.

In July 2017, he earned his first title on the PGA Tour, at the John Deere Classic. 2018 was a year full of triumphs. The first occurred at the Memorial Tournament, where DeChambeau in the playoffs defeated the two opponents with a birdie on the second hole.

He then won The Northern Trust in August and the Dell Technologies Championship the following week, both counting towards the FedEx Cup, where he finished third. He also participated in his first Ryder Cup, where however he failed to earn a point and the United States were defeated.

In November came the fourth victory, at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, which allowed him to climb to fifth place in the world rankings. In the 2019 season, he obtained his first title on the European Tour by winning the Omega Dubai Desert Classic by seven strokes.

He participates in the first Presidents Cup, where the United States wins. As of later this year and during the COVID-19 pandemic, DeChambeau bulks up by gaining about 40 pounds, consequently becoming the golfer with the longest tee shot.

In July 2020 he returned to win a tournament, the Rocket Mortgage Classic, thanks to a final round seven strokes under par. He comes fourth at the PGA Championship, while in September he triumphs in the first Major, the U.S.

Open, in which he is the only player to remain under par. Thus he returns to occupy the fifth position in the ranking, to date his best result.
