Serena Williams is featured in the new Netflix film Glass Onion – Knives out. The film is the sequel of Knives Out, and this second film also features a stellar cast. From Daniel Craig to Edward Norton, from Kate Hudson to Hugh Grant’s cameo.
Among the extras, there is also the Grand Slam champion: in a scene, which she develops in the gym, while two of the protagonists talk, the former world number one plays the role of a personal trainer. It is not the first appearance of Serena Williams in a film, but there are four previous ones.
She had already appeared in Hair Show and Pixels in the prime of her career. Recently, however, she was in the all-female film, as well as the female version of the trilogy, Ocean’s 8, alongside Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock.
Serena Williams and other tennis farewells in 2022
2022 was the year of goodbyes. Two tennis legends, in particular, have decided to leave professional tennis, in two ways that are as different as they are both moving: Roger Federer and Serena Williams.
The former has decided to indulge in a final doubles match with Rafael Nadal in the Laver Cup, with a farewell to the London public and his teammates who have agreed to be his teammates and opponents in the event. For the Queen of tennis, however, the withdrawal took place following her style: playing to the last on the US Open court.
The celebration was expected after a defeat in the first round, but the American did not stop: she defeated the number one seed of the tournament, Anett Kontaveit, in the second round, she reached the third round, where it was Ajla Tomjlanovic who made her say goodbye to his home court, where he won six titles out of 23 totals.
