January is just around the corner and attention is turning towards what the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham can do when the transfer window opens in just a few short days.

Mykhaylo Mudryk remains Arsenal’s top target with talks ongoing over the winger’s future – and the Gunners have been tipped to agree a fee below his £86million price tag. Arsenal have also been warned off a deal for free agent Cristiano Ronaldo.

Over at Chelsea, Youri Tielemans has emerged as a potential candidate for a January transfer while Brighton’s Moises Caicedo is being eyed up to replace N’Golo Kante, who Barcelona are closing in on. Josko Gvardiol is another target after virtually tying up deals for Christopher Nkunku and David Fofana. Spurs, meanwhile, want Weston McKennie and Sofyan Amrabat. Mac Allister on Spurs radar?

Jamie O’Hara has joked that Spurs should have signed Alexis Mac Allister instead of Yves Bissouma from Brighton.

He told talkSPORT: “I can’t believe he’s at Brighton, big clubs are going to be coming and looking for him. Spurs signed Bissouma – why did we sign Bissouma when we could’ve got Mac Allister?”

Brighton signed up the World Cup winner to a new contract before he headed to Qatar – and interest in his signature will now surely rise.

Arsenal not out of Tielemans running

Arsenal will return to the table for Youri Tielemans next month.

Nkunku deal could ease Chelsea’s Rafael Leao interest

Chelsea’s pursuit of Christopher Nkunku has calmed AC Milan’s fears over Rafael Leao.

Italian network SportMediaset report on the £62m outlay on Nkunku making it unlikely they will splash up to £100m in a further deal for Leao.

The Portuguese winger may be available for cheaper than that though, given his contract expires in 2024 and talks are still ongoing over an extension.

Arsenal tipped for cut-price Mudryk deal

Shakhtar Donetsk have so far held strong in their desire to recoup a huge £86million fee for Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Arsenal are in talks with the Ukrainians over the 21-year-old winger following the injury to Gabriel Jesus.

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has said that no club will pay that fee and he expects Arsenal to be successful in acheiving a cut-price deal, with the Kroenkes backing Mikel Arteta financially so he can win the Premier League title.
