These days the last matches of the World Cup in Qatar are being played, the last great sporting event in the world of football. Yesterday afternoon the first semifinal of the tournament was played between Lionel Messi’s Argentina and Luka Modric’s Croatia.

The challenge ended with the victory of the South American team, which prevailed by a clear 3-0. Messi opened the scoring and then the young player from Manchester City, Julián Álvarez, contributed with a brace.

The PSG star, who won the Ballon d’Or six times, played a superb game, scoring the first goal from a penalty and dragged the team along with incredible plays, such as the assist for Julián Álvarez’s second goal, a goal that featured incredible play of the Argentine star.

The social world also went crazy with Messi’s play and, consequently, several tennis players also praised the game and the performance of the South American team on their social networks, sharing posts to congratulate the winners and losers for leaving everything on the court.

One of the first to praise Argentina and Lionel Messi was the former world number one, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic. “Nole” published an Instagram Stories where he publicly congratulated the Argentine soccer player and his team.

Congratulations also went to the losers, with Nole thanking Croatia for the good World Cup they played. Argentines Diego Schwartzman and Gisela Dulko posted Stories on social media to celebrate their nation, but tennis players like Andy Murray and Stefanos Tsitsipas also celebrated Messi.

Murray tweeted an almost sarcastic message on the first goal commenting: “Who scored for Argentina?”, in an almost ironic tone to highlight another goal in the career of the South American champions. Tsitsipas also posted a tweet praising Leo’s performance and noted that Messi is probably experiencing one of the best moments of his World Cup career.

Even tennis adores Leo Messi and the performance of the player is making the eyes of all the fans shine.

Tsitsipas opens up on Djokovic

“Novak Djokovic is the most resilient and the most consistent. A perfectionist who took tennis to another level.

His diet, his physical work, his elasticity and his professionalism in each of the areas. I don’t think there’s a single thing he overlooks. Novak is ahead. Personally, he inspires me a lot” – Stefanos Tsitsipas said.

A few days before the World Tennis League begins, Novak Djokovic has spoken about how excited he is at the opportunity to participate in the inaugural edition of the exhibition tournament. “Hello, tennis fans around the world. A big tennis event is coming up in Dubai — World Tennis League,” Djokovic said.
