Holger Rune has signed up to compete in Rotterdam, per Michal Samulski. Rune, 19, will be making his debut on the indoor-hard courts of Rotterdam in February.

The Rotterdam event is from the ATP 500 class and the organizers are planning to have another big edition.
Previously, the tournament confirmed Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger-Aliassime as participants. Rune, who captured his first Masters title after beating Novak Djokovic in the Paris final, will certainly draw interest in Rotterdam.
Rune taking steps to elevate his game to another level
Rune, who is now the 11th-ranked player in the world, enters the 2023 season with big expectations. In 2023, Rune wants to become a Grand Slam champion and the world No 1.
This offseason, Rune hired a nutritionist as he recently said that “Ferrari without fuel is useless.” “I’m very calm and relaxed as a person – almost a little lazy. So, I don’t stress over things related to press or work.
Sometimes it is good to be a little lazy because you can’t control everything. I use my energy on court. And I have a really good family around me. Also, it is important to eat well and sleep enough during the season. Because if I have no energy, the engine will burn out.
I have a nutrition plan now, so I know I get what I need. We found out I did not get half of the sugar and salt I needed (for the matches), that is why I had meltdowns and cramps. I really did not know (things like these) could make so much difference.

In the week before the Australian Open, Rune plans to compete at the ASB Classic in Auckland.
