We have now reached the final stages of the season and today the fourth day of the ATP Finals in Turin will be held, the last major event of the season. It will be an intense day, several big players take the field while in the other Group the Norwegian Casper Ruud has already obtained the pass for the semifinals, a different situation for Rafael Nadal.

The Spaniard obviously appeared out of shape and fell in both matches, thus eliminated in the Round Robin stage of the Turin groups. Italian tennis legend Paolo Bertolucci commented on SerieAnews.com what is happening in Turin and in the tennis world overall, without forgetting his passion for football and for Milan.

Here are his words: “The ATP Finals are a beautiful event, with a very high level of play and we can absolutely be satisfied with these first days. Sorry for Nadal, but these youngsters should be applauded, I think of Fritz and Auger-Aliassime who are expressing a very high level of tennis ” Bertolucci then went on to talk about how the world of tennis is changing, an ever more evident generation change: “This change has been going on for some years, only there was a lot of rush.

Aliassime for example has been on the circuit for 4 years and now it seems that he has been here for a long time, in reality he is only 22 years old. Then let’s not talk about Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, they did not come here but they are the demonstration of this change, it inevitably exists and it is normal.”

Carlos Alcaraz’s love for the sport is evident

Mats Wilander has said that Carlos Alcaraz shouldn’t be compared to Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. “He doesn’t have to be considered the greatest player, but one thing is for sure: it is fun as hell to watch him play tennis when he’s that good and he’s laughing at the same time.

He’s the most inspirational tennis player that we have because of what he did in 2022 and most of all because of the way he did it. Never compare him to Rafa, Roger and Novak, the way he did it I’ve never seen anything like it,” the Swede expressed.

“When I hear Carlos Alcaraz talk about tennis and the way I see him play, it is that simple,” said Wilander, adding, “He’s just happy playing tennis, and he says ‘I want to be No. 1 in the world. No strings attached, no nothing. It’s no mind games and nothing. It’s just what I feel'”
