Former six-time Grand Slam doubles champion Rennae Stubbs says Novak Djokovic is the best player in the men’s game right now. Djokovic, 35, wrote tennis history on Sunday after he defeated Casper Ruud to tie Roger Federer’s all-time record of six titles at the ATP Finals.
Djokovic competed in four tournaments during the indoor season as he made four finals and captured three titles – he won it all at the ATP Finals, Tel Aviv Open and Astana Open. “Novak Djokovic is the best player in the world.
21 Slams, 38 Masters, 6 ATP Finals (titles). Insane numbers. No matter who your favorite player is between Roger, Rafa and Novak, you can’t deny he’s the most dominant player on ALL surfaces. Hard, grass, clay or indoors.
Can’t wait for the Australian Open,” Stubbs wrote on Twitter.

Stubbs thinks Djokovic is the best in the game
The 2022 season was extremely challenging but also successful for Djokovic.
In a limited number of tournaments played, Djokovic still managed to win Wimbledon, the Rome Masters and ATP Finals. After winning it all in Turin, Djokovic opened up about his belief that everything happened for a reason.
“Everything that has happened and always happens is happening for a reason, so I try to have that kind of approach to life and my professional tennis career,” said the Serb.” I try to analyze really why something is happening, whether it’s good or bad.
And I believe we attract things with our life, with what we are thinking. What happened in Australia is something that I somehow attracted. I don’t know what it was with the universe, but it did happen. It was a shock, and it took me months and months to really recover from it.
The last three months of the year have been tremendous for me. Great tennis. I kind of found the groove back again. The motivation is still there,” Djokovic explained.
