In a week when the DP World Tour sees a break before the Nedbank Golf Challenge-DP World Tour Championship duo, golf in Europe still has its share of things to say. And it does so through the Q School (aka Qualifying School) which, from the Challenge Tour (but not only), leads to the continental circuit.

This week, in Spain, there will be four tournaments that constitute the second phase linked to the possibility of earning the right to play on the DP World Tour in 2023. After a series of events held around Europe and which have given an important skimming , now some pretty heavy names are starting to come into play too.
From these four races, which will take place in Huelva, Girona, Almeria and Alicante, 80 names will come out (20 per event, barring forfeits and the like) who will compete in the final stage, known as the Final Stage, scheduled in Tarragona, Spain.
from 11 to 16 November on six laps. Italy has many cards in play through the four events listed above. In particular, in Huelva we will see Matteo Manassero, Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, Stefano Mazzoli, Davide Buchi and Filippo Celli.
Clearly the special observers here are Manassero and Celli, but there are various names with a good past on the European tour. In Girona, on the other hand, Aron Zemmer, Edoardo Lipparelli, Gregorio De Leo and Alessandro Radig show up.
Of De Leo it must be said that this year he did very well on the Alps Tour, winning the order of merit and three tournaments; he is already certain to compete on the Challenge in 2023 anyway. In Almeria we find Lorenzo Gagli, a long-time Italian exponent on the continent, and Federico Maccario, in a tournament that is the hunting ground for a good number of high-level Swedes.
Finally, in Alicante, Enrico Di Nitto tries in a particularly popular event this time by the French. At the same time, the grand finale on the Challenge Tour is also disputed, worth 15 places on the DP World Tour 2023. Lorenzo Scalise enters the Road to Mallorca from 44th after a year of two top ten, but in which he has dropped in performance in the last period with five missed cuts before last week’s English Trophy.
