The top four teams are all facing bottom-half clubs this weekend: Who will be the club to slip up?
Leaders Arsenal host Nottingham Forest on Sunday, and it could be trailing defending champions Manchester City if the Citizens take care of business at Leicester City the day before on Saturday.
Meanwhile, third-place Tottenham hope to get back on track in league play with a trip to Bournemouth, who have shown they’re no sure thing to be relegated this season. Will Spurs be distracted by their Champions League decider on Tuesday at Marseille?
Fourth-place Newcastle could be ready to take advantage as they look to move further up the table with a home game against Aston Villa, who looked rejuvenated last time out in their first match after the firing of manager Steven Gerrard.
At the other end of the table some managers could be playing for their jobs as Crystal Palace (13th) meet Southampton (16th) and Leeds United (18th) face the daunting trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool.
The Sporting News brings you all you need to know about how U.S. fans can watch the latest round of matches from the world’s most popular league.

What happened to NBCSN?
For several years Premier League fans in the USA were accustomed to watching matches on NBC Sports Channel, also known as NBCSN.
But NBCSN was officially shut down on Jan. 1, 2022, with NBC using the latter half of 2021 to message the news and the transition of Premier League coverage to USA Network. NBC characterized the move as being “part of a larger transition” in an internal memo.
It’s widely speculated that the shutdown of NBCSN was part of the company’s desire to push more sports content to its Peacock streaming service, hoping to entice fans to subscribe.
NBCSN was first launched in 1995 as the Outdoor Life Network (OLN), carrying mainly outdoor sports, and then was rebranded to Versus (2006) with the acquisition of other sports properties, before ultimately becoming NBCSN in 2012.
Who are the Premier League commentators on NBC and USA Network?
The main play-by-play commentator for NBC’s Premier League coverage in the 2022-23 season is Peter Drury.
Drury is in his first season as lead commentator for NBC’s Premier League coverage, replacing Arlo White who was not re-signed after the expiration of his contract. White was the lead commentator for NBC’s Premier League coverage since the inception of NBC’s rights deal with the Premier League in 2012.
The 54-year-old Drury is considered one of the top soccer commentators in the world, having called FIFA, UEFA, and other top competitions since the mid-1990’s. Drury began his career at BBC Radio Leeds in 1990 where he called Leeds United games during the club’s run of European competition.
Drury will be joined in his travels across England by color commentators and former Premier League players Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux. Both also played for England with Dixon donning the Arsenal shirt, and Le Saux known for his time at Chelsea.
The NBC Sports studio team features regular host Rebecca Lowe alongside analysts Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe, Tim Howard, and Danny Higginbotham.
Earle played in the Premier League for Wimbledon, while Mustoe featured for Middlesbrough. U.S. national team legend Howard starred as a goalkeeper for Everton, while Higginbotham was at Southampton and Stoke City.
Premier League break for the 2022 World Cup
Leagues around Europe will have to stop in midseason for the 2022 World Cup, which has been moved to the winter to avoid the high summer temperatures in host country Qatar which would not have been ideal for sporting competition and required the unprecedented move.
The Premier League season will pause after Matchweek 16, which wraps up on November 13, 2022 with players reporting to their national teams the following day.
The 2022 World Cup begins on November 21 and concludes with the final on Sunday, December 18. Premier League matches will then restart on Boxing Day December 26.
Who won the Premier League in 2021-22?
Manchester City are defending champions of the Premier League in England, having won the title on the last day of the season.
Pep Guardiola led the club to its second straight league title in dramatic fashion, defeating Aston Villa 3-2 on the final day of the campaign to secure the title, finishing one point above challengers Liverpool.
The Reds, meanwhile, came up just short, having pushed Man City to the brink in league play. Liverpool also fell just short in the Champions League, succumbing to Real Madrid in the final. The Reds did, however, take home both the FA Cup and EFL Cup trophies.
