Soon after Roger Federer announced his retirement, a former ball boy now grown up admitted that he was the one who stopped the Swiss Maestro from hitting a ball during a match from his youngster years. “When I was 12, I stole one of Roger Federer‘s balls,” the former ball boy named Marco Pogo wrote on Twitter.

Pogo also shared a video with the moment.

20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer has announced that he is retiring from tennis at the age of 41.

Federer, who turned 41 in August, hasn’t played since last year’s Wimbledon due to a knee surgery. In a statement published on Thursday, Federer revealed he plans to retire after next week’s Laver Cup in London.
