Tottenham are aiming to make it two wins out of two in Champions League Group D when they travel to face in-form Sporting CP in Lisbon.
Richarlison’s late brace gave Spurs a 2-0 win over Marseille in last week’s opener and Antonio Conte’s squad rested up at the weekend, a clash with Premier League champions Manchester City postponed as the Premier League cancelled its schedule as a mark of respect following Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
Sporting followed their 3-0 victory against Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt with a 4-0 thumping of Portimonense, although Ruben Amorim’s club are winless in their six Champions League encounters with English opposition.
Former Spurs youngster Marcus Edwards opened the scoring for Sporting against Eintracht and will be hoping to impress against his old employers.

Sporting CP vs. Tottenham lineups
Amorim has a few concerns in defence after losing Jeremiah St Juste to a muscular injury during the win over Eintracht, before Goncalo Inacio and Luis Neto were forced off during the 4-0 rout of Portimonense.
Goncalo’s withdrawal at least appeared precautionary, meaning he could still join Sebastian Coates in the back three, with Ricardo Esgaio coming in as a makeshift centre-back. Matheu Reis and Manuel Ugarte ticked over with second-half substitute appearances at the weekend and are expected to return to the first XI.
Sporting CP projected lineup (3-4-3): Adan (GK) — Esgaio, Coates, Inacio — Porro, Ugarte, Morita, Reis — Trincao, Edwards, Gonclaves.
A weekend off means the next examination over whether Conte can juggle his resources effectively for twice-weekly action in the Premier League and Champions League will have to wait a little while.
The Spurs boss could opt for an unchanged lineup to the one that beat Marseille, with Richarlison‘s goals making a strong case for him to be retained ahead of Dejan Kulusevski.
Tottenham projected lineup (3-4-3): Lloris (GK) — Romero, Dier, Lenglet — Perisic, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Emerson — Son, Kane, Richarlison.
