German Maximilian Kieffer signed his first title on the DP World Tour by winning 200 (68 66 66, -16) strokes in the D + D Real Czech Masters on the course of the Albatross Golf Resort (par 72) in Prague, where he overtook by measure the Malaysian Gavin Green (201, -15).

In the race which, due to bad weather, was reduced from 72 to 54 holes, Renato Paratore finished in the top ranking for the third event in a row, 13 / o with 206 (67 68 71, -10), after finishing third in the Cazoo Open and fourth in the ISPS Handa World Invitational.

A prize also Nino Bertasio, 41 / o with 210 (69 70 71, -6), and Andrea Pavan, 57 / o with 214 (70 71 73, -2), who had won the competition in 2018. Kieffer, 32-year-old from Bergisch-Gladbach whose record was only one title on the Challenge Tour way back in 2012 (Gujarat Kensville Challenge), led the final round in 66 (-6) strokes, second set of the round, and practically won the match when he made the seventh birdie (against a bogey) on hole 17.

It probably wouldn’t have been enough without Green’s involuntary help who, having taken the lead in the second round and remained at the top with three birdies on the first ten holes, gave him way with a double bogey on the 14th (71, -1) and then he was very unlucky on the last green, when the ball of the playoff overtook denying him the birdie.

Among the protagonists also the Finnish Tapio Pulkkanen, third with 202 (-14) placed in the race for the title with six birdies and then out of the game for a bogey (67, -5). Same score for the South African Louis De Jager and fifth position with 203 (-13) for the other South African Zander Lombard, who climbed the ranking by 22 steps with a 64 (-8, eight birdies), best score of the day.

Immediately behind the Australian Jake McLeod and the German Marcel Schneider, sixth with 204 (-12). Paratore, seventh in the first two rounds, started well with a birdie, then two bogeys slowed down his run which is no longer resumed even after an eagle (71, -1).

Bertasio also made a 71 (-1) by putting together five birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey and Pavan scored a 73 (+1) with five birdies and six bogeys, including five in a row. The fourth Italian in the race, Lorenzo Gagli, did not pass the cut, 109 / o with 148 (75 73, +4).
