At Stamford Bridge, the club’s desire to sign Wesley Fofana is no secret of course, but fresh reports suggest the Leicester star is “obsessed” with the idea of joining Thomas Tuchel’s side.

In north London, Spurs are ready to pounce. Indeed, Fofana’s arrival at Chelsea could force Trevoh Chalobah out and Antonio Conte is consider a shock move for the defender, who is also attracting interest from Roma and Inter Milan. After what feels like an age, Manchester United are finally set to land a defensive midfielder.

On Friday, the club confirmed they had reached an agreement to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid, though the deal is not yet complete.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian is due to fly to Manchester in the coming hours and has a medical with United booked.

Tottenham consider Trevoh Chalobah raid

Tottenham and Roma have joined Inter Milan in showing an interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, writes Nizaar Kinsella.

The 23-year-old has concerns about game time under Thomas Tuchel this season as the Blues continue talks with Leicester City for £80million rated Wesley Fofana.

Chalobah fears that the signing will block his pathway and could seek either a loan or permanent move.

Arsenal in pole position to sign Lucas Paqueta

Mikel Arteta has made little secret of his desire to sign more players this summer, with the club having lost out on Raphinha to Barcelona.

Not content with adding just Marquinhos, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira to his attack, the Arsenal chief is now plotting a move for another star.

Wesley Fofana ‘obsessed’ with Chelsea

Wesley Fofana is set to be left out of Leicester’s squad to play Southampton later today as Chelsea continue in their attempts to sign the player.

The club have made two bids for the Frenchman, although the Foxes are so far holding firm.

Still, according to Fabrizio Romano, the 21-year-old is ‘obsessed’ with the idea of moving to Stamford Bridge.

Milan target Tanganga

AC Milan are back in for Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga.

That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that the Italian side have restarted talks with Spurs today.

It’s believed Milan want a loan deal with an option to buy, but Tottenham would prefer to sell permanently this summer.

Tuchel in talks over new contract

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he is negotiating a new Chelsea contract, writes Nizaar Kinsella.

It is the latest example of the opinion of the new Boehly-Clearlake owners who have been backing their manager in the transfer market, spending upwards of £170million with more signings to come.

Tuchel signed a last extension shortly after winning the Champions League final in July 2021 and he could now extend his deal beyond 2024.

“There are talks,” Tuchel told reporters at Cobham Training Centre. “But I think given the situation where we come from, and where we are in the middle of the transfer period, I think it is the very best if I focus on my team and on sports and on being competitive.
