More than two hundred participants who, in teams of five athletes, played a louisiana on the 18 holes. Present many of the friends who had started playing with him, many other people who had only followed the boy in his path.
The proceeds of the day were donated to the Maria Letizia Verga Onlus Committee for the study and research of child leukemia. In Lanzo also the president of the Lombardy Regional Committee, Carlo Borghi, the teacher who had followed the boy during the first approaches, Emilio Bianchi, as well as the president of the club, Giovanni Porta.
On board the green also all of Teodoro’s family: mother Marina, father Domenico, sister Chiara and grandfather Nello. Born on August 13, 1999, Teodoro Soldati started playing golf with Emilio Bianchi at the age of eight and, like many children, this sport has become his great passion.
The club was his second home. The first national victory, in 2010 at the Baby Championships. Soldati joined the Italian team in 2013, winning numerous national and international competitions under the guidance of Alberto Binaghi.
In 2015 he reached -4.4 handicap and 200 in the WAGR. He died suddenly on July 16, 2015 of a form of leukemia. “I thank all the participants and those who, year after year, support the cause and the Committee so that the research can continue and make progress.
