Last week, after Serena Williams defeated Parrizas-Diaz in Toronto, she did a special post-match celebration with her daughter Olympia. Everyone around them got noisy after the “dap celebration” was done. Alexis Ohanian posted a video of the celebration on his Instagram account.
“Let’s go! Serena Williams back at it with a W and the important post-match-Olympia-dap-celebration,” Alexis Ohanian captioned the video.
Unfortunately, Serena couldn’t do the celebration again in Cincinnati. Serena lost in two sets against former US Open winner Emma Raducanu. Whereas the 2021 Flushing Meadows champion earned 75% of her second-serve points, Williams struggled terribly, earning only 12% of her second-serve points.
Raducanu only dropped her serve once during the match, but she converted five of the nine break points she faced on the serve of the two-time past Cincinnati champion.
