John Huh, ranked No. 248 in the world, took command of the North American PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship with a two-shot lead after Thursday’s opening round with a 61(-9). The 32-year-old American, who is seeking a second title after the 2012 Mayakoba Classic, made seven birdies and an eagle without committing a bogey to lead South Korea’s Sung-jae Im (-7), who made two eagles on the Sedgefield course.

Aaron Wise (USA) 65 John Huh (born May 21, 1990) is an American golf professional.
Huh’s parents are from South Korea but lived in New York when their son was born, Huh lived there for twelve years. After that he lived in Chicago and Los Angeles. He went on to attend California State University in Northridge but turned pro after two weeks.
Huh turned pro in 2008 and played the first three seasons in Korea and also on the OneAsia Tour in 2010 and 2011. There he took his first win in 2010 and was named Rookie of the Year.
Through the Tour School, where he finished 27th, he ended up on the American PGA Tour.
There he won the Mayakoba Golf Classic in 2012 as a rookie. With a par on the eighth hole, he defeated Robert Allenby in the playoff, the second longest playoff in PGA Tour history. He entered the top 100 of the world rankings this year.
