The news from a few days ago that Tiger Woods rejected LIV Golf’s offer of 800 million dollars caused various reactions in the world. Many were shocked considering the figure that was offered to him. The shock is even greater when we know that Woods still decided to refuse the money.
Many support him and consider it a sign of loyalty and devotion to what he loves the most. Paige Spiranac is one of those who reacted to Woods’ decision. Spiranac is not aware of why Woods refused such an offer, but she cited potential reasons;
“That is ‘F you’ money,” she said.
“That is buy an island money. But Tiger was like, ‘You know what? No thank you.’ Maybe it’s because he already has so much money he doesn’t know what to do with. Maybe he wants to protect his legacy.
With a limited schedule, maybe his body can’t play that much. Maybe he wants to be a Ryder Cup captain.”

Spiranac believes that no matter what kind of person you are, such an offer is hard to refuse.
“If that cheque, for $800million, is in front of your face, I don’t care how good of a person you are, it’s going to be hard to turn down”. However, a few months ago, Paige confirmed that she would reject LIV Golf’s offer.
Spiranac believes that passion and love for sports is above all else. “For me, it’s not about money,” she said. “You have to do things for a bigger reason. You have to be passionate about it and you have to love what you do.
You can’t just do things for money.” Tiger Woods once again amazed the sports public and showed that money does not play a major role in his life. A move that made him even more popular among golf fans.
