Indian footballing giants, ATK Mohun Bagan will have home advantage as they are scheduled to play their inter-zone semi-final of the AFC Cup on September 7 at the Salt Lake Stadium.
ATK Mohun Bagan who qualified for the inter-zone semi-final of the AFC Cup are set to face Asian zone champions which will be either from Indonesia, Malaysia, or Vietnam. Juan Ferrando’s side finished second in the ISL last season, but got to represent India at the continental level after their rivals, Mumbai City FC, lifted both the League Winners’ Shield and the ISL Trophy.

The Mariners managed to qualify the inter-zone semifinal playoff of the tournament despite a lacklustre start to its AFC Cup campaign as they finished as winners of Group D with six points, level with Bashundhara Kings, but progressed on account of their superior head-to-head and goal difference.
ATK Mohun Bagan will look completely different this season as they have lost two influential players in the form of forwards David Williams and Roy Krishna – with Williams departing after two seasons, while Krishna moved on after three successful years.
