Many defections and, in particular, will miss eight of the top ten of the Road To Mallorca (the money list). Present only the Swiss Jeremy Freiburghaus, number eight, and the Danish Nicolai Kristensen, number ten.

In the field, however, there are many other good players such as, among others, the Germans Freddy Schott and Bernd Ritthammer, the English Max Orrin, the Swede Jens Fahrbring, the Czech Ondrej Lieser, the Pole Mateusz Gradecki, the Spaniards Eduard.

Rousaud and Borja Virto, the French Damien Perrier and the South African Jacques Blaauw. Welsh Stuart Manley, 43-year-old from Mountain Ash, defends one of the three titles won in a long career with few highs on the Challenge Tour, who has cashed eight times in eleven tournaments this season, but with average rankings apart from an eighth place (Magical Kenya Open).

Certainly well motivated Lorenzo Scalise, determined to be among the top twenty in the order of merit – from which he came out for the cut immediately last week in France – to whom at the end of the season will go a ‘card’ for the DP World Tour 2023.

The prize pool is 250,000 euros, of which 40,000 will reward the winner. The Challenge Tour is a European professional men’s golf circuit which acts as the 2nd European division, behind the European PGA Tour. This circuit was created in 1986 and was named Satellite Tour.

The top fifteen in the season standings qualify for the following year’s PGA European Tour. Some tournaments are played outside of Europe. In addition, the player who wins three tournaments during the same season automatically passes to the European tour for the current season and keeps his card on this circuit for the following season.

The lower circuits are the Alps Tour, EPD Tour and PGA EuroPro Tour. Each season, the top five from each circuit qualify for the Challenge Tour.
