The number one of the Wimbledon 2022 seeding doesn’t stop at the Al, England Club. Novak Djokovic made his mark in the second round of the London Grand Slam, archiving the practice of the Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis in three sets, without risking anything compared to the debut challenge with the Korean Kwon.
The Serbian showed a solid and convincing performance and can now prepare for the next match against fellow countryman Miomir Kecmanovic. The Belgrade native won one of the most beautiful points of the challenge: going down to the net, the 35-year-old did not close the exchange with the smash but then enchanted everyone with a wonderful backhand down the line.
We recall that several players was forced to live the London Slam due to a COVID-19 outbreak. Among them, Marin Cilic, Matteo Berrettini and Roberto Bautista. Other players are at risk after they had contacts with these players.
