British tennis star Emma Raducanu, 19, said it was fascinating to observe Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic from the close range and see the differences between the two. Nadal and Djokovic are one of the greatest players in tennis history, while Raducanu is one of the most talented and players from her generation.
At Wimbledon, Raducanu had a chance to see Nadal and Djokovic on the practice court. After watching both all-time greats practice, Raducanu noticed some of the differences between the two. “I was watching Novak [Djokovic] warm up and it’s actually quite fascinating to see the differences between him and Rafa [Nadal].
With Rafa you can feel his presence but Novak is extremely easy and fluid and the way he gets his power is very different,” Raducanu explained, per James Gray.

Raducanu thrilled to be able to see Nadal, Djokovic practice
A year ago, Raducanu was a promising teenager who was awarded a main draw wildcard into Wimbledon.
This year, Raducanu returned to Wimbledon as the top-ranked British player and the face of British tennis. Being the top-ranked British tennis player at Wimbledon definitely helps as Raducanu had a chance to practice on the main courts before Wimbledon.
The best practice courts are reserved for the best players and that’s why Raducanu was able to see Djokovic and Nadal practice. “I’m 19 (years old), like just to be watching Rafa and Novak at such close range and to be able to sort of take parts and try learn from them and you know, walk amongst these great players it’s still special.
Like I don’t think it really ever changes when you’re watching those greats and it’s amazing to have them around. It’s only my second Wimbledon, I’m really new to this so it’s still a really special feeling,” Raducanu said.
Both Nadal and Djokovic have Wimbledon titles in their collection, while Raducanu is aiming to win her maiden Wimbledon title this year.
