The very rich golf weekend continues for both men and women. We have reached the end of the second round of the U.S. Women’s Open (prize money of 10 million dollars), and halfway through the race the situation is still complicated.

At the helm we find a couple made up of the Australian Minjee Lee and the American Mina Harigae. Both after 36 holes boast a score of -9 (133 strokes) with the world number one grabbing the Californian thanks to an excellent lap of -5.
Third position with -7 for the Swedish Anna Nordqvist and for the South Korean Hye-Jin Choi. The latter turned out to be the best of the day with a superb lap of -7 (9 birdies, 2 bogeys). The young Swede, who has not yet turned professional, holds on by turning on par with her par and therefore remaining at -6 in fifth position like the South Korean Jin Young Ko. Seventh place with -5 for Sei Young Kim and the Thai Moriya Jutanugarn, while the English Bronte Law, the South Korean Sung Hyun Park, and the Americans Megan Khang, Andrea Lee, closed the top ten in ninth position with a score of -4.
and Ryan O’Tool. Nelly Korda slightly climbs up the ranking, who with -3 settles in 14th place with compatriot Lexi Thompson. Lydia Ko is shaken, who thanks to the -3 of the day avoids the cut placing herself in 21st place with a score of -1.
Here ends the adventure for world number two Nanna Koerstz Madsen. The Dane, who started badly with a bad first round, is unable to reverse the trend. Finally, Madalene Sagstrom, who after her good debut slips into a resounding +6, is out.
Minjee Lee (born May 27, 1996) is an Australian golfer of South Korean descent. She is the older sister of Min Woo Lee, also a golfer and winner of the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2016. This makes them the first two siblings to win a USGA junior championship.
She then followed a hit at the Australian Women’s Amateur in 2013 and again in 2014. She becomes the number 1 amateur golfer in the world on February 26, 2014, after winning the Oates Victorian Open on the ALPG Tour. [6] She will remain the undisputed leader of this ranking until her transition to the pros in September of the same year.
