NFL great Tom Brady reveals he is a Rafael Nadal fan and admits he draws inspiration from the record 21-time Grand Slam champion. Brady, 44, is considered by many as the greatest player in NFL history. Brady has seven Super Bowls to his name, more than any other player in NFL history.
In tennis, Nadal is a record 21-time Grand Slam champion. Both Brady and Nadal have enjoyed very long and successful careers. “I admire athletes who push themselves to the limit, and I’m absolutely inspired every time Rafa takes the court,” wrote Brady for TIME.
“There’s something to be learned from watching his determination, his strategy, everything that it takes for him to never take any moment for granted. He’s forever going to be remembered as one of the very best athletes in all of sports”.
Brady admires Nadal
Nadal is no stranger to health issues but his resilience and fighting spirit are one of the most impressive things in all sports. Nadal has been battling with a foot issue since 2005 but still managed to have a very long and successful career.
Two weeks ago in Rome, Nadal opened up about his chronic foot issue and revealed it is affecting him in every day life. “I had my foot again with a lot of pain,” Nadal said in Rome. “I am a player living with an injury; it is nothing new.
It’s something that is there. Unfortunately my day-by-day is difficult, honestly. it’s difficult for me to accept the situation sometimes. Today at half the second set, it starts and then it wasn’t playable for me.
I don’t want to take away anything from Denis. Today is for him. Well done for him”. Even though Nadal is nearly 36 and battling a chronic foot issue, he is still giving his best and fighting every day to achieve more success.
