THE INNOVATIVE WTP TENNIS TOUR CONTINUES

Supported by the PTCA (Professional Tennis Coaches Association), the WTP program is proving aspiring national competitive players and players who still have the hunger and the drive to keep playing at the very top of their game an international platform to play on a complementary professional tour.

The aim is to create a new exciting series of competitions by attracting players genuinely passionate about tennis and injecting the World Tennis Tours with renewed energy, additional structure, and value. WTP’s appetite and desire to create more and better internationally linked prize money tournaments to grow the tennis sport is strong.

Therefore, it is a pleasure to announce the newly installed MyStaff WTP Masters Cup by BauFi Direkt & GM Sports tennis tournament held in Anif, Salzburg Austria. The tournament is the first 10.000 euro WTP Masters Cup event in 2022 preceding the Master Cups in Kiel, Luxemburg, and the Champions Trophy in Seefeld.

It features men’s and women’s singles, both 16 draws. The tournament will be held from the 31st of Mai to the 2nd of June. The MyStaff WTP Masters Cup by BauFi Direkt & GM Sports has the goal to grow to become one of the biggest sporting events in Salzburg.

Because of Salzburg´s geographic location, foreign players easily may travel to the event between club matches. „Our tournament in Anif is a great opportunity for the players and coaches from all over the world to make extra money during the club season“, said Gerald Mandl, WTP tournament director.

Players will be accepted based on their; 1. WTP tournament titles 2. WTP race list 3. WTP world ranking 4. ATP/WTA ranking 5. ITF ranking 6. UTR rating The format of the events will be a knock-out 16 draw. The semifinals and finals will be live-streamed and the winners of the tournament will receive a direct acceptance into the 2022 WTP Champions Trophies.
