Celtic saw some big names wave goodbye to the Parkhead club during the previous summer transfer window.
The likes of Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer and Ryan Christie were all sold to English clubs for substantial transfer fees.
Others such as Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham left on free transfers, whereas a few more were moved out on loan deals.
Now that the next summer transfer window is on the horizon, it seems as though a big clue has appeared regarding which current players in Ange Postecoglou’s squad could be facing the exit door this time around.
What’s the news?
According to a recent report from Kieran Devlin for The Athletic, the Hoops could see a number of their current players making moves away from Parkhead this summer.
He said: “The club intend to move on [Ismaila] Soro, Boli Bolingoli, Albian Ajeti and Vasilis Barkas, although the latter three’s relatively large wages may be an issue.”
Taking into account how the four players mentioned in Devlin’s report have made a combined total of 18 appearances in the Premiership this season, it’s safe to say that they may not be missed by Postecoglou or many Celtic fans, and it could actually be a huge boost for the club to cash in on them.
Great news for Postecoglou
With Bolingoli having been training on his own away from the group in recent weeks, it’s not a surprise to hear that his time at the club could be coming to an end this summer.
Who would you rather see leave Celtic this summer?
Ismaila Soro

Albian Ajeti

Vasilis Barkas

Boli Bolingoli

With Soro and Barkas both being linked with moves away during the January transfer window, it seems as though it will be the same situation for them once again this time around.
Finally, looking at how Ajeti has only scored two goals in his seven league appearances this season, compared to the 13 that Giorgos Giakoumakis or 12 that Kyogo Furuhashi racked up, it’s easy to see why he has been pushed out of the side and could now be looking for another club.
If the Hoops can cash in on those four players this summer and also secure suitable and better-quality replacements who can strengthen the squad, this would undoubtedly be great news for Postecoglou and the best outcome for all parties involved.
