Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has etched his name ever further into the history books of the club, after bagging his latest individual award.
The prize in question? The Premier League Player of the Month.
The month of April, all told, proved a difficult one from a Manchester United perspective. Six Premier League outings culminated in just a solitary three-point haul for Ralf Rangnick’s troops, and even that came courtesy of a hard-fought 3-2 downing of Championship-bound Norwich City.
Ronaldo, though, nevertheless continued to produce at an elite level, racking up five goals in just four appearances.
The Portuguese, in turn, was rewarded for his efforts courtesy of the Premier League Player of the Month award earlier today, his 2nd such accolade to this point in the campaign.

Rooney matched
And, as alluded to above, in the process, Ronaldo secured for himself yet another piece of history.
As per statisticians Opta, the former Real Madrid man has now been named Premier League Player of the Month on a whopping six occasions, across his two spells in the division.
This marks one more than previous record-holder Wayne Rooney managed throughout his own stint at Old Trafford, as Ronaldo, at the ripe age of 37, continues to defy the odds in etching his name indellibly into the history books of Manchester United:
