Jesse Lingard’s brother has labelled the Red Devils a ‘classless’ club run by people who ‘don’t even know the offside trap’ in the wake of their 3-0 win over Brentford.
It was the club’s final home game of the season, and out of contract trio Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic all featured and were given farewells in front of their home supporters.
Lingard, also out of contract, was left on the bench however. It comes after the Englishman was denied a move away from Manchester in two successive transfer windows this season, only to make just two starts this season in the top flight.
And, it is clearly a situation that he and his entourage are unhappy with. Taking to Instagram after the win, his brother Louie hit out at those in charge in Manchester.
‘Twenty years of blood, sweat and tears, four domestic trophies, three cup final goals. Not even a farewell’, he wrote.
“No wonder it’s Conference League next year. Attacking players for celebrations when the clubs being sold to the Super League OK. Class of 92, Busby Babes. You’re run by people who don’t even know the offside trap.
“Classless and the fans need to realise. Goodnight, god bless. Tarar.
“Been there since nine years of age and didn’t even get a send off.
“Well done bro, your family are proud.”

Rangnick explains the move
According to Ralf Rangnick, the reason behind him not coming on was simply down to only having three substitutes and a lack of fitness.
‘As you know for personal family reasons, he didn’t train a lot,” Rangnick said. ‘Yesterday was the first training session. Again, after he asked me to allow him some time at home.’
‘Tonight was one of those nights where I would have loved five substitutes for other players. Also, Alejandro Garnacho, I would have loved to have brought him on at 3-0 up and let him play him for 15 minutes. But then I had to decide between substituting and bringing on him or Edinson Cavani and that’s why I decided to play Edinson.’
Lingard still has two games left of his Manchester United career, but both are away from home as a disappointing season winds down and he sets about finding a new club.
