This Wednesday evening (6:45 p.m.), Udinese (12th) received Salernitana (20th) for a late match of the 19th day of Serie A. The formation of Friuli in white and black started the match in 3-5-2 just like the players of Salerno who played in garnet. In the first period, it was the locals who created the best chances but without really succeeding in putting the danger on the goal of the promoted. The two teams neutralized each other and logically returned to the locker room with a goalless draw (0-0). In the second half, the meeting was still closed even if the Friouli still dominated the debates but without succeeding in concretizing.

The Salernitans thought they would create a surprise on one of their rare opportunities but Mikeal’s deflected shot crashed into the left post of Silvestri (80th). Udine could also have won with a fine free kick from Gerard Deulofeu but Luigi Seppe perfectly repelled the attempt by the Spanish striker (85th). The visitors finally found the fault on a counter-attack after additional time Simone Verdi, well launched by Ederson Lourenco, deceived the vigilance of Silvestri (93rd, 0-1) and thus allowed the red lantern to win 1- 0. With this away victory, the Salternitana leaves the last place and goes 19th in the standings, Udinese remains 12th in Serie A.
