According to the newspaper The Team, Olympique de Marseille supporters should not be allowed to travel to Salonica on Thursday for the Conference League quarter-final second leg against PAOK. The Greek authorities will not communicate on this subject until the beginning of next week but they have already informed the Olympian club that the safety of its supporters cannot be ensured after an incident in the first leg.

However, 400 to 500 Marseillais had to travel to Greece. “It’s probably better that way, we would have left one on the floor” explained an internal source quoted by the sports daily. UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings to sanction the excesses that took place during the first leg in Marseille on Thursday evening (2-1). OM would expect to receive a large fine from the European body.
