Mahdi Camara laid off after a fight –

Pascal Dupraz would have done well without it. The Team tells us this Tuesday that AS Saint-Étienne has decided to suspend Mahdi Camara (23) with immediate effect, with suspension of salary, for a period of five days. The reason ? The versatile midfielder of the Greens was in fact involved in a fight with the goalkeeper of the reserve team (N3), Yanis Bourbia, at Etrat, the training center of the Saint-Etienne club, on Monday afternoon. This altercation takes root in Geoffroy-Guichard, Sunday, during the defeat of ASSE against OM (2-4) in Ligue 1. Mahdi Camara was allegedly the target of mockery from the mouths of three individuals in the gallery Cauldron VIP. The tone would then be raised, as the sports daily explains, between them and the Stéphanois family.

Camara’s brother would even have come to blows with one of the troublemakers after insults were allegedly uttered against his mother. Learning, with astonishment, that Yanis Bourbia boasted of having “broken the mouth of Camara’s brother”, the number 8 of the Greens would then have gone to look for him in the locker room of the reserve. The replacement doorman of the N3 would then have refused to apologize, putting Camara out of him. Bourbia would have come out with “a broken nose and a damaged mouth”, even requiring hospitalization and stitches. Despite the apologies of the man with 28 L1 games this season, the management of ASSE therefore preferred to suspend him to mark the occasion. He will therefore miss the crucial match in the race to maintain Lorient on Friday (9 p.m.), while the Bourbia clan could file a complaint against Camara for assault and battery.
