On the occasion of National Diaspora and Africa Days (JNDA) in Bordeaux, the president of the Cameroonian federation Samuel Eto’o took the floor to talk in particular about the future of Cameroon and binational players. On this second subject, the former Inter Milan striker took the example of PSG striker Kylian Mbappé to explain that he wanted his country to train his talents himself.
“I do not want to have a Kylian Mbappé who was born in Bordeaux in our national team but to have Kylian Mbappé who were born in our working-class neighborhoods in Cameroon. Because there are talents in our territories to be valued”, explained Eto’o. Cameroon, which organized the CAN last January, will face Algeria on Tuesday in the second leg for the 2022 Cup. The Indomitable Lions lost in the first leg on Friday (0-1).
