The Italian Federation announced on Wednesday in a press release a new long-term partnership with the equipment manufacturer adidas. From January 2023, all Italian selections will be equipped by the brand with the three stripes. “The announcement of the partnership with adidas is a source of pride for the FIGC. This collaboration represents a fundamental step in the path of growing our commercial attractiveness and strengthens the process of developing our brand both in Italy and abroad.” said Gabriele Gravina, the president of the FIGC.
This news officially puts an end to Italy’s partnership with the Puma brand, which had been its official equipment supplier for twenty years. The feline brand will soon present what will be its last Squadra Azzura jersey, the one with which it may compete in the 2022 Cup if the Italians manage to qualify for the play-offs. First step for them, the semi-final against North Macedonia on March 24.
