After Monaco’s draw against Lorient (0-0), the 24th day of Ligue 1 continued this Sunday with a race to maintain still undecided. After the great victory against Montpellier (3-1), Saint-Etienne had to continue its good series to get out of the red zone. Against Clermont, the Greens however had great difficulty in making the difference. And on a set piece, the Clermontois even surprised ASSE on this header from Hountondji, where Mangala was late (1-0, 39th).
After the break, Clermont Foot dominated sterilely and failed to make the break. As often in recent weeks, Sainté found resources at the end of the match. After that, the RCSA held and remains in fourth place with a small point behind Nice and before a trip to Saint-Etienne. Angers chained a third defeat in a row and remained 13th before going to Nice. Finally, Nantes (8th) won against Reims (14th) on the smallest of margins on a nice strike from Simon (1-0, 17th) before receiving PSG.
