the first recruit demanded by Mauricio Pochettino –

Ardently courted to take charge of the Manchester United first team next season, Mauricio Pochettino has not yet given his answer, especially since he is still under contract with PSG, but he would already have a first recruit in head.

It is now that the PSG season really begins. It’s cruel but faced with its national hegemony for 10 years, the capital club is finally judged on its results in the Champions League. In other words, the result of the double confrontation against Real Madrid in the round of 16 of C1, the first act of which takes place on Tuesday evening, will depend on the future of Mauricio Pochettino. Under contract until 2023, the Argentinian has never seemed to fully integrate into the Parisian project since taking charge of the first team last winter.

Worse still, his name is whispered on the Manchester United side, while PSG would do everything to convince Zinedine Zidane to join him. The Argentinian would return to England where he officiated between 2013 and 2019 (at Southampton then Tottenham) and would sign especially in a legendary club, although in the grip of many difficulties for several seasons now. He is even considered the big favorite to take over from interim Ralf Rangnick, who is struggling to put his game ideas in place.

Pochettino will push for Harry Kane

The locker room would even already be convinced by the former central defender. The club’s stars would rather be led by Pochettino than Erik ten Hag, the other favorite and current Ajax manager. Yet some of these players will probably no longer be there next season. We are of course thinking of Paul Pogba, at the end of his contract, but also and above all of Cristiano Ronaldo, whose reunion with MU does not go as planned. Moreover, the recruitment priority during the summer transfer window will be to bring in a world-class striker.

For the Telegram, the identity of this striker is already found since it is Harry Kane. According to the English media, Pochettino will do everything for MU to recruit the captain of Tottenham. The relationship between the two men is strong and the Englishman wants to free himself from his training club to finally win a first trophy in his career. Already last summer, he had tried to force his departure to Manchester City but the Spurs had held firm despite an offer estimated at 150 M€. It will be difficult to retain him for another year, especially for Pochettino.
