Kick boxing federation trains 50 officials on modern techniques   |

The Kickboxing Federation of Nigeria (KBFN) has concluded its four-day technical course/grading for over 50 coaches, judges and referees as part of efforts to upgrade the sport to meet global trends. 

The seminar held at the indoor sports hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin recently, taught participants the modern techniques in kickboxing.

According to the federation, the technical courses for coaches, referees, and judges was held to improve the level of the sport in the country to international standards.

Vice President of the Kick Boxing Federation of Nigeria, Gospel Obolo, explained, “the federation taught it wise to organise this seminar for our officials to keep them abreast with the latest techniques of kickboxing. This will not only help develop the sport in Nigeria but it will assist Nigerian officials at international competitions.”

The programme also had some members of the military, including the Nigerian Army, Navy and Airforce, in attendance. At the end of the exercise, certificates were handed to the participants.
