Giwa FC has appealed its expulsion from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) by the League Management Company (LMC) for failure to honour three matches cumulatively in one season, which is in violation of Rule B13.28 of the NPFL Rules and Framework.
But in a letter dated May 21, 2016 in response to the LMC Summary Jurisdiction Notice, the Secretary of Giwa FC, Samson Adamu, wrote to acknowledge the decision, but also notified the LMC of its decision to reject the ruling and appeal same.
In a letter addressed to the LMC Chief Operating Officer, Giwa FC stated, “The above subject matter refers. We are in receipt of your letter of 20th May, 2016 on the above subject matter. We hereby notify you that we do not accept any of the sanctions imposed on our club and further add that we elect to be dealt with by a commission.”
