Peter Dedevbo has been handed a fresh ‘term’ as head coach of the Nigeria Under-20 Women’s national team by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Recommendations by the Technical and Development Committee that Dedevbo, who led the Falconets to a runners-up berth at the 2014 Fifa U-20 World Cup, be retained was approved by president of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick, on Wednesday, pending ratification by the Executive Committee.

“The Peter Dedevbo-led crew did well to get the Falconets to the final of the U-20 World Cup in Canada last year. Most of his players have been snapped up by the senior team, which shows that he built a good team,” chairman of the Technical and Development Committee Felix Anyansi-Agwu is quoted as saying on TheNFF.com.

“We will give the crew all the support that is necessary to qualify the Falconets for the 2016 U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea, and for the team to go there and win the trophy.”
