Fifa have upheld results of the September 30 elections into the executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
In a letter dated December 9, world football’s governing body Fifa backed the majority report of the NFF electoral appeals committee which upheld the elections in Warri.
“We note the majority decision of the electoral appeals committee to uphold in their entirety the results of the elective congress held in Warri on 30 September 2014,” the letter read in part.
“We are therefore pleased to be able to start working with the new office bearers headed by NFF president, Amaju Pinnick.”
This means the Amaju Pinnick-led board will continue in office. Fifa has further disclosed it will arrange an introductory meeting between President Sepp Blatter and Pinnick in Zurich.
A report by the Chairman of the appeals committee had nullified the elections of president Pinnick, Vice-president Seyi Akinwunmi and members Felix Anyansi Agwu and Sherif Inua.
