Alluring Styles Fashion Designers Can Recreate For Their Female Clients

0

Designers in the fashion industry are constantly on the lookout for new trends in order to satisfy their clientele. In a field where everything is always changing, it’s important to anticipate trends while still being timeless. Designers could wow their clients by utilizing these styles.

To begin, the loose-fitting blazer is a major trend right now, appearing on both the catwalk and the streets. You can achieve a stylish and contemporary appearance by combining this piece with a range of garments, such as dresses and tailored pants. Designers may make blazers unique by playing around with various fabrics and cuts and incorporating eye-catching elements like large buttons or contrasting lapels.

Alternatively, there’s the coordinated set, a style that’s been all the rage recently that involves matching bottoms and tops. To rephrase, it’s an absolutely certain way to appear put-together. Formal and informal clothing provide designers with an endless playground for experimentation with shape, fabric, and pattern.

The versatility of co-ords provides buyers with a wider range of options for every purchase. There is a great need for ecologically responsible trends, and sustainable fashion is currently trending. By creating products from organic or recycled materials and utilizing sustainable manufacturing practices, designers may fully embrace this trend.

One way to show one’s support for the environment is to wear dresses in subdued tones or coats made from recycled cloth. There has been a revival of the dramatic, flouncy gown in the realm of formalwear. The wearer exudes an air of refined extravagance when dressed in garments made of silk, satin, or tulle.

Asymmetrical cuts, unconventional fabrics, and vivid colors are just a few ways that designers are giving contemporary women’s ball gowns a makeover. Huge coats and eco-friendly patterns are two examples of how designers are able to express themselves while still meeting consumer demand.

Designers could benefit from anticipating these trends if they want to keep their collections interesting and current.

Bole In Flames Over Mahama’s Ministerial Snub

The failure of President John Dramani Mahama to fulfil his promises to supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sparked unrest in his hometown, Bole, a few days after eight NDC thugs were shot dead and several others injured in Obuasi.

Supporters of the NDC in Bole yesterday demonstrated against Mr Mahama’s failure to fulfil his promise of nominating Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, for a ministerial appointment. The aggrieved youth destroyed properties in the area, burnt car tyres in front of the house of Mr Mahama’s father, and threatened to burn the NDC office in the area unless the promise to the MP is fulfilled.

Mr John Mahama recently concluded the nomination of 22 substantive ministers for the newly constituted ministries, following the reduction in the number of government ministries from 29 to 23. Missing from the list was the name of the MP for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, infuriating the NDC youth in the constituency.

The youth argue that President Mahama did not appoint anyone from Bole, including their late MP, into his first government and is about to repeat his actions, despite assuring them of a ministerial position during the campaign. They claim they have been used and dumped once by the President and will not sit idly by for it to happen again.

Meanwhile, some residents in the constituency have described the situation as embarrassing. Mahama Haruna, General Manager of Bole-based Nkilgi FM, stated that “any action by NDC youth in Bole will only embarrass President John Dramani Mahama in the eyes of Ghanaians,” noting that everyone in the area had expected the MP to be made a minister.

Italy arrests top Libyan policeman over alleged war crimes

Human rights organisations have condemned abuses at Libyan detention centres Human rights organisations have condemned abuses at Libyan detention centres

The head of Libya’s judicial police has been arrested after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued a warrant over war crimes allegations, media reports say.

Osama Najim, who directs Tripoli’s Mitiga detention centre, was reportedly arrested on Sunday in the Italian city of Turin.

Former detainees from various centres have described abuses, such as routine torture and rape. In 2022, the UN said it had uncovered evidence of “serious rights violations”.

Mr Najim was arrested in a hotel following a tip from international police body Interpol, Italian newspaper la Repubblica reported.

Italian migrant rescue charity Mediterranea Saving Humans said the arrest came after a “difficult” ICC investigation involving “years of complaints and testimonies from victims”.

An ICC spokesperson did not immediately respond to the BBC’s questions.

Mediterranea Saving Humans also criticised the long-standing, controversial deal between Italy, under which Italy trains and funds the coastguard to intercept migrant boats.

As part of this agreement, Libya is expected to help reduce the number of migrants who pass through the country and arrive in Italy.

At the time Mr Najim was arrested, he was with other Libyan citizens and planned to go to a stadium, attorney general Lucia Musti told la Repubblica.

Mr Najim’s case has reportedly been forwarded to the justice ministry and and the appeals court in Rome.

Ensure public office holders declare assets, liabilities

The Crusaders Against Corruption, Ghana, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to prioritize the enforcement of Article 286 of the 1992 Constitution, which mandates certain public officeholders to declare their assets and liabilities before assuming office.

The group emphasized that enforcing asset declarations is crucial for combating corruption and promoting transparency and accountability in governance.

In a statement issued on January 21, the group said, “For the avoidance of doubt, Article 286 (1) of the 1992 Constitution states that “a person who holds a public office mentioned in clause (5) of this Article shall submit to the Auditor-General a written declaration of all property or assets owned by or liabilities owed by, him whether directly or indirectly.”

Crusaders Against Corruption, Ghana, has urged the President to ensure strict adherence to this legal requirement by swearing into office only those public officials who have declared their assets and liabilities.
