MP for Gomoa Central and entertainment personality, Kwame A Plus
Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central and entertainment personality, Kwame A Plus, has stated that MPs do a lot of work that doesn’t correspond with the salary they earn.
In an interview with Adom FM on April 3, 2025, A Plus revealed that after deductions, he takes home less than GH¢ 15,000 as an MP.
Drawing a comparison to his life before joining Parliament, A Plus emphasised that in 2020, he used to earn more in a single day than his current monthly salary.
“Parliament work is difficult, and the salary is so small. It’s not good at all. After all the deductions, you’d be left with about just GH¢ 15,0000. One of these days I am going to make my bank statements public.
“When I look at my turnover for 2020, it shows that I was making a lot of money. I was making more money in just 24 hours back then… and I’m even talking about my savings. The amount of money I was making in a day at that time is more than the salary I’m receiving now,” he stated.
He then commended the MPs for working hard while making things look easy, noting that he used to see things differently before he joined Parliament.
“The MPs are doing very well. Before we joined Parliament, we used to see things differently,” he stated.
His statements have since received massive backlash and raised questions on social media.
While some netizens have labelled him as greedy, others are questioning why he contested the election if he was aware of the salaries MPs earn in the country.

Media personality, Paul Adom-Otchere, has alleged that the approval of the monetary budget by Parliament for the GETFund projects allocated to Members of Parliament was intended to compensate certain lawmakers from the National Democratic Congress who were not given government appointments.
Parliament approved GH¢250,000 for each MP to fund education-related projects in their respective constituencies, along with an additional GH¢150,000 per MP for the monitoring of these projects.
Reacting to the development on Good Evening Ghana on April 3, 2025, Adom-Otchere asserted that some NDC MPs are dissatisfied with the government for sidelining them and not considering them for appointments.
He further claimed that these disgruntled MPs have expressed concerns that the lack of government appointments, which would have secured them budgetary allocations, could negatively impact their parliamentary prospects in the 2028 party primaries, leading to increased pressure.
“The reason as we have been told is that there’s concern from the 188 Members of Parliament of the NDC who did not secure ministerial positions, are not likely to secure board positions, and did not secure deputy ministerial positions and therefore, do not have any executive authority where they have the power of the pen to sign signatures and also get a budget to run with.
“And so, they feel that there will be pressure on them from their constituents given that everyone knows they are members of the ruling party and they may lose their primaries,” he alleged.
Adom-Otchere further alleged that in an effort to resolve the situation and appease its members, following rumors that the disgruntled MPs were planning to boycott and vote against any government business, the Minister of Finance has made arrangements to allocate GH¢400,000 every quarter to the MPs.
This payment, according to Adom-Otchere, is intended to secure their support for the approval of bills presented in the House.
“Now the story is that the NDC at the Ministry of Finance level is telling the MPs that when we bring things to Parliament, please vote for it. This is because there are conversations going off by the backbenchers that they will teach the NDC a lesson since they are not getting anything.
“They will fail every bill that comes and they have the numbers to do so. So, upon what looks like a pseudo threat, the Ministry of Finance and the NDC have decided that every quarter, they will make sure that there’s some paperwork, and processes to give every Member of Parliament GH¢400,000 of the taxpayers money. We just hope that is not true,” he added.
Ghana’s local currency, the Ghana cedi, has recorded marginal gains against major trading currencies, particularly the US dollar, at some forex bureaus.
In its daily update, the Central Bank noted that the cedi is trading at a buying price of GH¢15.52 and a selling price of GH¢15.53 to a dollar.
The British pound is being bought at GH¢20.34 and sold at GH¢20.36, while the euro trades at a buying price of GH¢17.13 and a selling price of GH¢17.14.
Checks by GhanaWeb Business on April 4, 2025, at 08:00 AM indicate that the cedi is trading at GH¢16.00 to the dollar, while the pound is trading at GH¢20.90 at some major forex bureaus across the country.
Additionally, the euro is trading at GH¢17.50 on the retail market.
To curb the cedi’s depreciation, the Bank of Ghana sold over $200 million in the last quarter of 2024.

Assin South Member of Parliament (MP), Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has dismissed claims by the Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, that he refused to honor an invitation by security agencies regarding the alleged drug trafficking flights.
The Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee described the claims as false, stating that there had been no such invitation.
In a post on X, the former Deputy Education Minister challenged the Abura Asebu Kwamankese MP to provide a copy of the invitation letter.
“Kwakye Ofosu lied when he claimed I’ve been invited by security agencies and failed to attend their invitation. No security or intelligence agency has ever invited me to assist them with any information,” he wrote.
“I dare Kwakye Ofosu to produce a copy of such an invitation. I’m still waiting on them to collaborate with me in Parliament to undertake President Mahama’s directive, if the directive was not mere rhetoric,” he added.
Fordjour further explained that his call for a joint security briefing, which would have allowed security and intelligence agencies to provide updates on investigations, was blocked by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary caucus and the government.
He accused them of shielding security agencies from accountability and questioned their motives, asking, “What are they hiding?”
The lawmaker also pointed out that while Kwakye Ofosu confirmed the entry and departure of two suspicious flights at Kotoka International Airport, his explanation of their purpose was, in Fordjour’s view, incoherent and unconvincing.
Fordjour described the government’s response as disingenuous and an attempt to evade accountability. He stressed the need for authorities to be transparent and ensure that Ghana does not become a hub for cocaine trafficking and money laundering.
He reaffirmed his commitment to using every parliamentary tool available to demand accountability and protect the country’s integrity.
Two-piece outfits have become a timeless staple in women’s wardrobes, offering a perfect balance of style, comfort, and versatility. Whether dressing for a casual day out or a more formal event, a two-piece set can easily be tailored to suit any occasion. Here’s why two-piece outfits have earned their place as a must-have fashion choice for women everywhere.
A two-piece outfit typically consists of a matching top and bottom that can be styled in numerous ways. Whether it’s a chic blouse paired with tailored pants, a fitted blazer and skirt combination, or a trendy crop top and skirt duo, these outfits provide a streamlined look with minimal effort. The beauty of a two-piece set is that it allows women to look polished and put together without having to spend hours coordinating pieces. A fitted blazer with a matching skirt or trousers, for instance, is perfect for the office, while a crop top and flowy skirt can easily transition from a casual lunch to an evening out.
One of the main advantages of two-piece outfits is the ability to mix and match the pieces with other items in your wardrobe. For example, the top from a two-piece set can be paired with jeans, shorts, or a different skirt, while the bottom can be styled with a blouse, sweater, or t-shirt. This versatility allows women to maximize the use of each piece, making it a cost-effective option for building a wardrobe.
Two-piece outfits come in a wide variety of styles, ensuring there’s something for everyone. For those who prefer a more classic look, a tailored pant suit or pencil skirt set exudes sophistication. On the other hand, more contemporary options include matching sets with bold patterns, such as florals or stripes, or materials like knit fabrics and denim for a more casual look. These outfits can be found in a range of colors, from muted neutrals to vibrant hues, allowing women to express their personal style with ease.
Two-piece outfits are designed to complement various body shapes, from hourglass figures to rectangular or pear-shaped bodies. Tailored styles can cinch the waist for an enhanced silhouette, while looser options can provide comfort without sacrificing style. Whether opting for a bodycon dress-style two-piece or a more relaxed fit, these outfits ensure a flattering and stylish look for all body types.
The versatility of two-piece outfits extends beyond occasions, as they can also be adapted for different seasons. In the warmer months, lightweight fabrics like cotton, linen, or silk make two-piece outfits perfect for keeping cool while still looking fashionable. As the weather cools, a two-piece outfit with thicker fabrics such as wool or knit materials can easily be layered with jackets or coats, making it an all-year-round wardrobe essential.
In conclusion, two-piece outfits are a versatile, stylish, and practical wardrobe choice for women of all ages. Their ability to blend sophistication with comfort, along with the option to mix and match pieces, ensures they remain a go-to for creating chic, well-coordinated looks. Whether you’re dressing for the office, a casual outing, or a special event, two-piece outfits offer a timeless way to slay your style effortlessly.
In a significant step towards environmental sustainability, Verna Mineral Water has modified the design of its 500ML, 750ML, and 1.5L plastic bottles by removing the seal attached to the caps.
This initiative is part of the brand’s commitment to reducing waste and aligning with global sustainability efforts, particularly the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition to this eco-friendly modification, Verna Mineral Water bottles are made from BPA-free plastic, ensuring the health and safety of consumers.
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical commonly found in some plastics that has raised concerns over potential health effects. Verna’s commitment to using BPA-free materials guarantees that its bottles are safe and free from harmful chemicals.
Another key feature of the new Verna Mineral Water bottles is their less-plastic lightweight design, which makes them easy to compress and shrink for recycling.
This ensures more efficient waste management and aligns with circular economy principles, encouraging consumers to participate actively in responsible disposal and recycling practices.
By introducing these sustainability-driven improvements, Verna Mineral Water continues to set the benchmark for environmentally responsible packaging in Ghana’s beverage industry.
This bold move shows the brand’s zeal for environmental stewardship and consumer well-being.

The ongoing legal dispute between Kennedy Agyapong and investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas took another dramatic twist as both appeared in court on March 23, 2025. The $18 million defamation lawsuit, which has attracted widespread attention, continues to unfold with intense moments, and today was no different.
Kennedy Agyapong, the former MP for Assin Central, entered the courtroom dressed in a sharp suit, but his demeanor revealed his frustration. As soon as he entered, his eyes immediately locked onto Anas, who was wearing his usual attire and trademark glasses. The tension in the room was palpable, with Agyapong’s face reflecting a mixture of anger and frustration. His gaze seemed to pierce through Anas, as if seeking answers to unspoken questions.
The case originated from Agyapong’s comments about Anas, which the journalist claims have defamed and harmed his reputation. In a prior court session, Agyapong requested a reduction in the $18 million damages claim against him. However, today’s hearing brought no relief for him. Observers noted his visible displeasure, with Agyapong gritting his teeth and staring intensely at his adversary.
“He looked like he could snap at any moment,” said a courtroom observer, speaking anonymously. “It was clear from his face—Agyapong was furious.”
In contrast, Anas remained composed, his expression concealed behind his signature glasses. The investigative journalist has consistently argued that Agyapong’s remarks have unjustly harmed his reputation and remains steadfast in his pursuit of justice.
Throughout the proceedings, Agyapong was seen shaking his head in disbelief, visibly unsettled. The tension between the two men was undeniable, and whispers among court attendees highlighted the charged atmosphere.
The judge has not yet issued a final ruling, but the legal battle between these two determined individuals is far from over. Whether Agyapong’s request for a reduction will be granted, or whether Anas will secure the full $18 million, remains uncertain. For now, all attention is on the courtroom as the public awaits the next chapter in this high-profile defamation case.
In a bid to boost local trade and industrial development, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has announced that any government procurement from outside Ghana will now require special approval from the Office of the President.
In line with this initiative, a list of items required by all public sector agencies will be published and must be procured locally.
The Finance Minister made this known during a meeting with the leadership of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
He stated, “To support our local industries, the government will soon publish a list of items that all public sector agencies must procure locally. This will ensure that government procurement serves as a tool to develop our industries.”
“Going forward, any government procurement from outside Ghana will require special approval from the Office of the President,” he added.
To reinforce his point, Dr. Ato Forson emphasized that no country can develop without a strong industrial base, hence the move to implement this policy to promote local production of goods.
This policy, he noted, will lead to the growth and expansion of local businesses and help strengthen Ghana’s economy.

There has been a suspected outbreak of African swine fever, resulting in the killing of several pigs in Damongo in the Savannah Region.
Information gathered indicates that pig farmers have resorted to slaughtering their pigs, to prevent the alleged spread of the disease in the municipality.
Some of the affected areas are Sori Number, Attributu, Boroto, Canteen and other areas in the Damongo Municipality.
The situation has created fear amongst pork lovers, causing a severe decline in the pork business in the municipality.
Several pig farmers in the municipality have expressed their disappointment about the suspected outbreak, adding that pig farming was their only source of livelihood, and called on government to immediately respond to the outbreak.
Meanwhile, Dr. Benjamin Kissi Sasu, Risk Communication Officer, Veterinary Services Department of Ghana, has refuted claims that the incident in Damongo is related to African swine fever.
He warned pig farmers to desist from slaughtering their pigs without approval from the Veterinary Services.
“Per our law, nobody is allowed to slaughter any animal without veterinary approval, and for that matter we will need to be there to supervise and ensure that if it’s an outbreak, it does not spread,” he stated.
He, however, urged pig farmers to ensure that they report to the nearest Veterinary Services should their pigs fall sick, for veterinary officers to take the necessary action.
“We encourage the farmers that when your pigs are dying or fall sick, ensure you visit the nearest Veterinary Services, and our personnel will come and ensure that the right thing is done. This service is free,” he added.

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has raised GH¢1.534 billion from the issuance of its 56-day bills, auctioned on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
The short-term securities, issued as part of the Central Bank’s Open Market Operations (OMO), were sold at an interest rate of 27.7%, a 0.7 percentage point increase from the previous auction rate of 27%.
The marginal hike follows the 100 basis point (1%) increase in the Central Bank’s monetary policy rate, which moved from 27% to 28% on March 28, 2025.
Details on the total bids submitted by commercial banks and the Central Bank’s target issuance amount were not disclosed in the auction results published by the BoG.
BoG bills serve as a key monetary policy tool, enabling the Central Bank to manage liquidity in the financial system by absorbing excess cash from commercial banks.
Proceeds from these auctions are typically used to finance short-term government obligations and support broader monetary policy objectives.
The interest rate on BoG bills is closely watched by financial markets, as it influences broader interest rate movements in the economy and signals the Central Bank’s stance on inflation and liquidity conditions.
I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend for about a year and a half now. A year into our relationship, she decided to move in with me.
I’m 28, and she’s 25.
A few weeks ago, I came home from work, and she was standing in the living room with a smile on her face, showing me a positive pregnancy test.
At first, I thought it was some sort of TikTok prank, so I played along. When she didn’t reveal it was a joke, I began to realise what had really happened, but I continued playing along.
Later that night, I got up at midnight and started emailing my best friends, giving them all the details and asking them to pretend they knew nothing and be prepared for what was coming.
I took a week off from work and planned things out. The next morning, I left for work as usual but didn’t actually go to work. One of my friends was waiting outside for me, and the whole week, we followed my girlfriend.
On the third day, she met up with her affair partner, and they went to a hotel. After that, my girlfriend booked a ride, and my friend decided to follow the man home. It turned out that the man was married with kids.
We devised a plan. I convinced my girlfriend to go to her parents’ house to tell them the “good news.” While she was there, I gave my friends the keys to my place. My girlfriend broke the news to her parents, and everyone was happy.
After a while, I got a call from my friends saying they were ready. I then asked to make an announcement. I called my girlfriend in front of her family, and they probably thought I was going to propose.
Instead, I started by telling them how we met, how much I loved her, and how much it hurt to know that she had cheated on me and gotten pregnant by someone else.
The room fell silent, and my girlfriend looked shocked. I told her that the moment she told me she was pregnant, I knew she had cheated.
She didn’t know that I had a vasectomy five years ago and that I get yearly check-ups.
At that moment, her phone rang. I asked her to answer the call, and it was the father of her baby, probably discussing whether or not he was going to leave his wife and kids to be with her.
Apparently, he didn’t approve of her moving in with him, so she was told to stay with her parents since she couldn’t come back to my house.
It’s been a week now, and this morning her sister called me, saying my girlfriend is a shadow of herself.
She asked me to hear her out and let her explain what happened and why she cheated. I honestly don’t feel there’s anything she could say to justify what she did.
She offered to abort the child if that would make me take her back, but I told her that wouldn’t change anything.
She secretly took pills to abort the baby and even threatened to kill herself if I didn’t accept her back. I still love her, but she broke my trust, and it would be really hard to trust her again.
I know she loves me, but I can’t understand why she chose to cheat on me.
I’m now at a crossroads, should I give her another chance, or should I move on with my life? I’m confused and just want to make the right decision, one that will be best for both of us. I really need help.
The Central Regional Directorate of the Ghana Health Service is set to roll out oral vaccination on over 500,000 persons to help curtail the surge in cholera rates in the region.
The directorate has designated a 4-day cross vaccination across three districts from Friday April 4 to Monday April 7, 2025, in the region.
The districts are the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Municipality, Cape Coast Metropolis, and the Mfantseman Municipality, following their high numbers of recorded cholera cases, with an estimated number of 541,798 individuals set to be vaccinated.
Persons from the ages of 1 and above are eligible for the vaccination, as only pregnant and lactating mothers are exempted from getting vaccinated with the cholera drug.
The health directorate pledged its commitment to tackle the rise of the cholera cases in the region and the country at large.
Dr Joojo Cobbinah, the Deputy Director of Public Health in the Central Region, stated that the mass vaccination is safe and possesses no post vaccination symptoms, unlike other drugs.
Speaking to the media, he called on the populace to avail themselves and their households for the vaccination to help solve the persistent rise in recorded cholera cases in the Central Region.
Dr Cobbinah also urged the public to prioritise hygienic lifestyles by ensuring all health protocols, as witnessed during the era of COVID-19, amid the vaccination exercise, are carried out.
The Head of Immunisation for the World Health Organization (WHO) in Ghana, Fred Osei Sarpong, equally implored Ghanaians to take the sanitation of their communities into their hands instead of depending on sanitation companies, such as Zoomlion, for cleaning up the environment.
He elaborated that advanced countries like America have decided to withhold funding on many health interventions which will, in effect, affect countries like Ghana who depend on their government for funding support for its healthcare sector.
Hence, he advised Ghanaians to desist littering the environment and clean up their communities when necessary, in other to do away with infectious diseases caused by filth, like the embattled cholera infection.
The Central Region, in its recorded cholera cases, has lost close to 30 individuals to the infectious disease.

Dresses have always been a staple in women’s fashion, offering versatility and style for any occasion. Whether you’re attending a wedding, going out for dinner, or simply enjoying a day with friends, the right dress can enhance your confidence and showcase your personal style. Here are some lovely dress styles for women that cater to various tastes, preferences, and occasions.
The A-line dress is a timeless and flattering style that suits almost every body type. With its fitted bodice and gently flared skirt, it creates a balanced silhouette. This style is perfect for both casual and formal occasions, as it can be dressed up with heels or kept simple with flats. A-line dresses come in a variety of fabrics, from cotton for summer days to luxurious satin for evening wear, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe.
For women who love to showcase their curves, the bodycon dress is a go-to choice. Fitting closely to the body, this style is often made of stretchy fabric that hugs every contour, offering a sleek and confident look. Available in various lengths, from mini to midi, bodycon dresses can be worn for date nights, parties, or even as office wear when paired with a blazer or cardigan.
The maxi dress is a long, flowing option that’s perfect for summer vacations, outdoor events, or casual outings. This style provides comfort while maintaining elegance, and it comes in various patterns, from boho floral prints to solid, sophisticated designs. The shirt dress can be worn with or without a belt, depending on the desired fit, and pairs well with sandals or ankle boots. It’s a great option for both casual weekends and a smart-casual office environment.

This style is often seen in retro or vintage-inspired designs, offering a feminine and elegant look that’s perfect for afternoon tea, garden parties, or semi-formal events.
Conclusion: From the classic A-line to the figure-hugging bodycon, dresses offer a range of styles that can cater to any occasion. Each dress type has its unique charm, allowing women to express their personalities through their clothing choices. The key to finding the perfect dress is understanding your body type, comfort preferences, and the occasion. With the right dress, women can feel confident, elegant, and ready to take on the world.
The Member of Parliament for Domeabra Obom, Isaac Awuku Yibor, has given firm assurances to residents of his constituency that efforts are underway to connect underserved communities to the national electricity grid.
His assurance comes in the wake of a Channel One News report which spotlighted the challenges faced by residents of Ballagonnor, a suburb of Kasoa Dankyira in the Greater Accra Region where residents appealed for support, lamenting how the lack of electricity has disrupted their daily lives impacting health services, education, and security in the area.
Speaking on Breakfast Daily on Channel One TV on Friday, April 4, the MP acknowledged the growing pressure on existing infrastructure due to population growth and affirmed that government engagement is ongoing.
He revealed that over 140 communities in the constituency are still without electricity, posing significant challenges to residents.
“Electricity is one of the major problems in Domeabra Obom. For places like Ballagonnor, a lot of people have moved in, and there’s growing pressure on the existing transformers. Currently, I’m in talks with the government to address this. The mapping for Ballagonnor is complete, and the project is now with the relevant office. I will follow up for updates,” he stated.
In addition to the electricity issue, Yibor highlighted a severe water crisis in the constituency and disclosed that 19 boreholes have so far been constructed in various communities to improve access to clean water.
“The community is also facing a water crisis, but so far, I have been able to build about 19 boreholes in the area. The people believe in me, and they know I can do something about it,”he said.
The MP assured residents that he remains committed to improving living conditions in Domeabra Obom through targeted infrastructural development.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa the Minister for Foreign Affairs has sarcastically mocked the member of parliament for the Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev John Ntim Fordjour.
According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, he has not changed his first name but he keeps seeing names such as Tulaku Ablakwa, Temu Ablakwa, Wannabe Ablakwa, Low-Budget Ablakwa.
The Chairman of the Defence and Interior Committee of Parliament, James Agalga, has urged the Ranking Member of the committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, to collaborate with the security agencies investigating the suspected drug trafficking and money laundering at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
This, he said, would help expose any wrongdoing and also safeguard the reputation of the country.
He has, therefore, assured Rev. Fordjour that the committee will take urgent steps to invite the various security agencies and the National Security Coordinator to brief the committee on the outcome of investigations conducted so far in relation to his request when Parliament reconvenes.
Mr Agalga, who is also the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa North in the Upper East Region, was responding to a request by Rev. Fordjour for the committee to invite the security agencies to brief Parliament on investigations being conducted into the incident at the KIA, the raid at Sapeiman and the cocaine seizure, which he (Rev. Fordjour) said were of public interest.
Request
In a letter dated April 2, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. Fordjour, who is also the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for Assin South in the Central Region, urged the committee to summon the security agencies — the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), and the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) to appear before Parliament on Monday, April 7, 2025.
“I write to request for the committee to invite the above-stated security agencies under the oversight of the Committee on Defence and Interior to attend upon the Committee on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 1100 hours in the Committee Room of Parliament,” the letter read.
“The purpose of this proposed meeting is to afford the agencies the opportunity to brief the committee and provide updates on investigations being conducted into high-profile reported incidents of serious and urgent public interest,” the letter further stated.
In the letter, he outlined the need for a briefing on three critical incidents: the first involving a National Security-led operation on February 9, 2025, in Sapeiman, which resulted in the discovery of twelve 20-foot containers filled with gold bars and various currencies.
The second focused on two significant cocaine seizures in March, with a combined value of $470 million while the third is on two flights, AirMed Flight N823AM and Cavok Air Antonov An-12B, that landed at Kotoka International Airport from Gran Canaria on March 12 and March 20, respectively, and reportedly departed on March 25.
Response
Responding to the request in a letter, Mr Agalga urged the Assin South Legislator to instead comply with the directive from President John Mahama to collaborate with the security agencies in investigating the drug trafficking allegations.
“In view of the fact that the allegation made by your good self in relation to drug trafficking and money laundering with the involvement of two aircraft namely: AirMed Flight N823 AM and Cavok Air Antonov ANI2B which landed at the Kotoka Airport border on the commission of crime, it is important that you collaborate with the security agencies to expose any wrongdoing and also to safeguard the reputation of our beloved country,” he said.
“Subsequently, urgent steps will be taken to invite the agencies listed above and the National Security Coordinator to brief the committee on the outcome of investigations conducted so far in relation to your request when the House reconvenes,” he added.
The Minority in Parliament has urged the government to urgently prioritise the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in response to a 10% tariff imposed on Ghanaian exports by the United States.
The tariff, announced by US President Donald Trump on April 2, is part of a broader set of reciprocal trade measures affecting several countries, including China and members of the European Union. Ghana’s inclusion on the list—with a 10% levy—has raised concerns about the country’s economic vulnerability to the US market.
Responding to the development, the Minority issued a statement signed by the Ranking Member on the Committee on Trade, Industry and Tourism, Michael Okyere Baafi, stressing the need for Ghana to pivot towards intra-African trade and reduce dependence on Western markets.
“Prioritize the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to diversify export markets and reduce reliance on the US.
“Expand exports of manufactured products to other African countries. Government should prepare to take advantage of trade diversion based on retaliatory measures that would be implemented by major trading partners,” the statement read.
The Minority also called for immediate, targeted support for exporters affected by the new tariffs. They recommended that government introduce specialised programmes—including financial assistance, training, and market intelligence—to help businesses adapt to the shifting trade environment.
They further urged intensified diplomatic efforts to safeguard Ghana’s trade interests, particularly by seeking an extension or alternative to the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which grants Ghana preferential access to the US market.
“Develop specialized programs and policies to support exporters affected by the tariffs. Provide financial assistance, training, and market intelligence to help exporters adapt to the new trade environment. Advocate for the extension or replacement of AGOA to maintain preferential access to the US market.”
A nationwide blackout that affected large parts of the country on the evening of Thursday, April 3, has been completely resolved, according to a statement from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo).
GRIDCo explained that the power outage, which impacted areas including Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, Techiman, Bui, Tumu, Sawla, and various regions in the north of the country, was triggered by a fault on the Tafo-Nkawkaw transmission line at exactly 20:09 hours.
Families of Philippine drug war victims who say they have been targeted by a “coordinated” campaign of online harassment urged law enforcers on Friday to investigate the attacks and identify those responsible to help them pursue legal action.
Among them is Sheerah Escudero, whose 18-year-old brother’s bloodied body was found in 2017 with hands bound and head wrapped in packaging tape. Like others who have spoken out, she has faced intense harassment online since former President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested on March 11 and taken to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, where he awaits trial.
“The families have been subjected to online bashing and intimidation. They’ve been called liars, paid hacks and fake victims,” said Katherine Panguban of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, who is representing Escudero and other victims.
Escudero previously told Reuters her Facebook account had been flooded with comments and direct messages calling her a drug addict and a liar for seeking justice in her brother’s case, and accusing her of being paid to malign Duterte.

Escudero and four others, including Kristina Conti, a human rights lawyer representing drug war victims who has also been attacked online, called on the National Bureau of Investigation to trace the identities and IP addresses of the individuals behind the social media attacks and spread of false information.
Conti previously said such tactics increasingly aimed to discredit families of those killed.
“We hope the NBI can assist in unmasking the individuals responsible so appropriate legal action can be taken,” Panguban said.
Beyond the online attacks, a wave of false claims has swept social media, with Duterte supporters likening his arrest to “kidnapping.” Reuters also found paid Facebook advertisements promoting the former president.
Duterte, who led the Philippines from 2016-2022, is facing allegations of crimes against humanity for overseeing death squads in his anti-drugs crackdown that left thousands dead.
he 80-year-old Duterte, who could become the first Asian ex-head of state to go on trial in The Hague, has said he takes full responsibility for his administration’s “war on drugs.”

Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has congratulated Black Sherif on the release of his ‘Iron Boy’ album and addressed the controversies surrounding one of the songs.
Following the album’s release, some netizens tagged one of the tracks as a diss song directed at Shatta Wale, with whom Black Sherif has not had the best relationship in recent times.
Netizens analysed the lyrics of Black Sherif’s Where Dem Boyz and speculated that it was aimed at Shatta, urging the dancehall artiste to respond fiercely, as is typical of his nature.
However, in contrast to expectations, Shatta Wale rather advised Black Sherif not to pay attention to the ongoing propaganda on social media.
Shatta pointed out that he hasn’t heard Black Sherif mention his name in the song, yet netizens are claiming it’s a diss directed at him.
He stated that this only shows how negatively some Ghanaians can think.
“If you follow Ghanaians, you will even think God is your enemy… I’ve never heard you say Shatta Wale this, Shatta that, but as usual, those unemployed Ghanaians are trying to push an agenda.
“Congrats on this masterpiece, little one… Go hard and don’t stop…,” Shatta Wrote on Twitter.
Shatta Wale also emphasised that his current focus is on making money from his career, rather than getting involved in unnecessary drama.
“I’m too bank-minded for nonsense… Just do your thing, my G !!!! SM4LYF,” he added.
Meanwhile, netizens who came across Shatta Wale’s post are astounded by his smooth and calm response, rather than the usual venting they anticipated.
Black Sherif’s ‘Where Dem Boyz’, which sits as track 10 on his album, has sparked considerable discussion online.
Some netizens have speculated that the song may be directed at Shatta Wale, citing their social media feud from November 2024 as the possible reason.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu
The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has reacted to the controversial ‘low budget Ablakwa’ comment circulating on social media that is linked to some Ghanaians linking the recent attempts by Rev John Ntim Fordjour, the Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee of Parliament, to expose corruption-related matters, to him.
For many of these online users, the attempts by the New Patriotic Party MP is an imitation of the roles Okudzeto played in the same respect while his party was opposition.
According to him, in what appears to be a post in jest, he stated that his name is still intact and that it remains unchanged.
He also questioned if, with all these new attributions of his name flying around online, he was missing something.
Ablakwa took to his official X account saying, “I haven’t changed my first name but I keep seeing Tulaku Ablakwa, Temu Ablakwa, Wannabe Ablakwa, low budget Ablakwa – am I missing something?”
His reaction to the comment has sparked conversations on X, with some social media users urging him to stay focused on his new role as a minister and rather fix some of the topical issues he complained about while in opposition.
Some others commented that they feel the NPP is trying to invent a China version of Okudzeto onto the Ghanaian political landscape.
Over the week, the minister has become a topic of discussion online following perceptions by some Ghanaian social media users that Rev Ntim Fordjour, who is also the MP for Assin South, is attempting to emulate his oversight roles in Parliament while in opposition.
The recent oversight activities of the NPP lawmaker have sparked discussions, particularly regarding his demand for answers concerning the missing ECG containers and the suspected arrival of suspected flights linked to drug trafficking in the country.
The Assin South MP raised alarm over two suspicious flights: AirMed flight NH23AM and Cavok Air private jet Antonov AN 12 B, that supposedly landed in Ghana in March.
According to him, the two flights suspected to be carrying cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash landed in Ghana between March 20 and March 25, 2025.
Addressing a press conference on April 1, 2025, the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, said the Minority caucus intercepted an intelligence indicating that an air ambulance landed in Ghana without any referral of patients.
However, his oversight actions have been mocked by netizens, who have drawn comparisons to the approach of Ablakwa, highlighting similarities between the two.
Some social media users argued that Ablakwa, now the Minister of Foreign Affairs effectively carried out his parliamentary oversight roles during his time in opposition by presenting well-supported facts and documents to substantiate his claims against the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
On the other hand, some have commended Ntim Fordjour for stepping up to the role.
These supporters argue that his actions will keep the government on alert and foster transparency and accountability, ensuring that the government remains answerable to the public.

Economist and finance lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, Professor Lord Mensah
Economist and finance lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, Professor Lord Mensah, has emphasised the potential economic effects of President Donald Trump’s 10% tariff policy.
According to him, countries with negative trade balances, those that import more goods from the US than they export, will be largely affected by these tariffs.
President Donald Trump, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, imposed far-reaching new tariffs on nearly all US trading partners.
China was slapped with a 34% tax on imports, 20% on the European market, among others that threaten to dismantle much of the architecture of the global economy and trigger broader trade wars.
In a post on his X page, as sighted by GhanaWeb Business, Prof Mensah indicated that nations with heavy reliance on US imports, and less capacity to offset those imports with their own exports to the US will face significant economic setbacks.
“Trump’s 10% tariffs: Countries with negative trade balances with the US will suffer the most. That is, countries with more imports and fewer exports to the US will suffer the worst,” he wrote.
The economist further advised affected nations to assess their trade dynamics with the US and find ways to adapt to the new trade environment.
“Just find your level,” Prof Mensah suggested on X.
By this, the finance lecturer wishes that such countries will alter their economic strategies to mitigate the effects of these tariffs.

In a surprising twist, veteran journalist Kwaku Dawuro has revealed that the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) flagship campaign message, “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL), was actually inspired by none other than Kennedy Agyapong—a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Dawuro, a prominent broadcaster with Movement TV and Wontumi Radio, shared this revelation on the *Movement in the Morning Political Show*. He explained that the idea for ORAL came about after Kennedy Agyapong publicly accused members of the NPP of widespread corruption, alleging that they had “looted” state resources as if there was “no tomorrow.”
Dawuro recounted how Agyapong specifically singled out individuals like Mr. Henry Quartey, claiming that Quartey had sold government land to him, which later landed him in trouble. These accusations, though controversial, caught the attention of then-presidential candidate John Mahama.
According to Dawuro, Mahama took inspiration from Agyapong’s fiery rhetoric and ran with it, vowing during his campaign that if elected, he would recover all the alleged looted funds—essentially adopting the same narrative Agyapong had pinned on the NPP. What started as an accusation within the NPP ranks ended up becoming a central plank of the NDC’s 2024 campaign strategy.
The irony of the situation—that the NDC’s rallying cry against corruption was inadvertently fueled by one of their political rivals—has left many scratching their heads.

Private legal practitioner Justice Abdulai has criticised the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), for detaining a Wontumi FM journalist for allegations made against Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng.
Gordon Asare Bediako was detained by the OSP for alleging that the Special Prosecutor had requested for a private jet from the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration due to the risky nature of his job.
Although he cautioned journalists against making slanderous remarks, Justice Abdulai said the actions of the OSP were unlawful and fall outside its mandate.
“The OSP doesn’t have unbridled power to arrest people simply on the basis of allegations that are made or that are not within their remit. The OSP’s powers are purely regulated by law and to go after either politically exposed persons or politicians involved in corruption or allegations of corruption.
“And I do not think that the claims as made by journalists are enough basis for anybody to be arrested by that establishment. We [also] need to point out that one cannot rely on his profession, particularly as a journalist, to peddle falsehood either.
“It is also not the case that simply because a journalist takes something that is thought of as unfounded is the basis for the OSP to detain the person and insist on the person revealing his sources. These are clear limitations of the OSP’s powers and it is completely unlawful.”

Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde has responded to viral social media rumours suggesting she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), clarifying that her body is natural.
The speculation began when a Twitter user expressed both admiration and surprise over what he believed was the actress’s enhanced figure.
AirMed International has responded to accusations made by members of Ghana’s Parliament, led by Member of Parliament Rev. Ntim Fordjour, who alleged that the company’s aircraft, N823AM, had been involved in drug trafficking at Kotoka International Airport (KIA). The claims, which suggest the aircraft had offloaded cocaine, have sparked a widespread national debate, prompting President John Mahama to order a full investigation.
Rev. Fordjour raised concerns during a parliamentary session, suggesting that the aircraft, which made several fuel stops, had concealed its true intentions. “This is a serious issue that cannot be ignored. The government must investigate the circumstances surrounding this plane’s landing in Ghana,” he stated.
In response, AirMed International strongly denied the allegations, explaining that the aircraft had landed in Ghana for routine medical transport purposes. A spokesperson for the company added that the aircraft encountered maintenance issues, and as a result, a second aircraft was sent with the necessary parts and technicians for repairs. The company emphasized that its operations in Ghana were entirely routine and unrelated to any illegal activity.
Despite the company’s explanation, skepticism remains, with some opposition figures questioning the frequency of such landings and suggesting that the swift arrival of the second aircraft could be an attempt to cover up illicit cargo. However, other political observers contend that the allegations are politically motivated and are being used to undermine the current administration.
In a prompt response, President Mahama instructed national security agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter. “We take national security matters very seriously. This government is committed to ensuring that every allegation is thoroughly examined,” he said.
Security experts have noted that, while Ghana has made progress in combating drug trafficking, the country’s airports continue to be vulnerable points for narcotics smuggling, with West Africa being a significant transit route for drug trade. This makes the accusations even more concerning.
As the investigation proceeds, the nation awaits further developments. Whether the claims will lead to a major scandal or prove to be a politically driven accusation remains to be seen. All eyes are on the ongoing investigation directed by President Mahama.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has assured Ghanaian students studying abroad of government plans to increase their monthly stipends.
While specific figures were not disclosed, the Minister said consultations would soon begin to review and enhance the allowances provided to students under government-supported programmes.
Addressing members of the Ghanaian community in Cotonou, Benin, during an official visit, Mr. Ablakwa also pledged efforts to ensure the timely disbursement of stipends, which students say are often delayed.
Currently, Ghanaian students in Benin enrolled in a one-year exchange programme receive a monthly stipend of CFA 45,000 (GHS 1,147), along with a one-time book allowance of CFA 60,000 (GHS 1,500), and another CFA 60,000 for medical expenses.
About 40 students from the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UNIMAC) and the University of Ghana are currently studying French in Benin, with 30 more from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) expected to join them next week.
The students raised concerns about recent changes to the programme’s duration, stating that “the 12-month duration has been reduced to six months,” making it difficult to meet academic requirements.
According to records from Ghana’s mission in Benin, over 2,000 Ghanaian nationals currently reside in the country.
The Minister’s engagement with the Ghanaian community in Cotonou brought together more than 100 participants. He emphasized that the visit forms part of a new policy to engage with Ghanaians abroad quarterly and respond proactively to their concerns. Benin and Nigeria are the first countries on his travel schedule.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has assured that no government-owned property in Benin will be sold under his leadership, as efforts are underway to renovate and restore facilities belonging to Ghana’s diplomatic mission.
During a working visit to Benin, the Minister inspected several properties acquired by the Ghanaian government in 1999. One of the properties, which was abandoned in 2019 following a fire that damaged its electricity meter, remains unoccupied. Out of the six properties owned by Ghana in Benin, only one has been left unused. However, the Minister raised concerns about structural defects in some of the recently acquired facilities, which have compelled mission staff to rent private accommodations at high costs.
The Minister indicated that initiatives will be undertaken to renovate and, in some cases, reconstruct the properties due to concerns about structural integrity, emphasizing his commitment to protecting national assets.
“No property will be sold under my watch,” he stated.

The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has noted that his team is determined to take all three points from their Ghana Premier League match against Hearts of Oak.
According to the tactician, the Phobians’ narrow defeat to Nations FC on Thursday will benefit his team.
He believes the result will affect the opponent’s morale, giving his Mauve and Yellow outfit the advantage on matchday.
“Our next game is against Accra Hearts of Oak. We are preparing very well so that we will get our points as well. They are playing today and I think we have two days more rest. It’s good for us so we are going to prepare very well and go and face them.
”I heard they are playing today and they are one goal down. It’s not good morale for them so we are going to use that as a motivation for our team so that we will get something out of there,” coach Ibrahim Tanko told Medi TV in an interview on Thursday.
The upcoming Ghana Premier League encounter between Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC will be played on Sunday, April 6. The mouthwatering fixture will kick off at 3pm at Tuba Astro Turf.
A member of the communications team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Daaku, has expressed concern over the increasing number of cocaine busts recorded during the early months of the John Mahama-led administration.
According to her, it is alarming that security agencies have intercepted three massive shipments of cocaine within just three months of the new government taking office.
Speaking in an interview on Wontumi Radio, Ama Daaku noted that no such large-scale drug seizures occurred during the eight-year tenure of President Akufo-Addo.
“In the eight years of Akufo-Addo’s presidency, we never heard of any cocaine busts of this magnitude, but the same cannot be said about the NDC just three months into power. We were informed that the security services had seized cocaine, gold, and dollars concealed in a 20-footer container. The following week, there was another interception of a cocaine-laden truck from Cape Coast en route to Takoradi. Then, just a few days ago, we were told about the interception of $350 million worth of cocaine from Takoradi heading to Accra,” she stated.
She continued, “So, within just three months of the NDC assuming power, there have already been three cocaine-related arrests. During the entire eight years of Akufo-Addo’s tenure, when did we ever hear of such consistent drug seizures? Even if there were any arrests, they were rare and far between. But under the NDC, we’re witnessing an average of one cocaine bust every month.”
In a groundbreaking operation, the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) recently intercepted a staggering 3,319.66 kilograms (3.3 tonnes) of substances suspected to be cocaine, with an estimated street value of approximately $350 million.
The massive haul was concealed in sacks and bags, cleverly hidden beneath heaps of sand in a tipper truck to avoid detection.
However, vigilant NIB operatives uncovered the illicit cargo, marking a significant milestone in the country’s fight against narcotics.
The tipper truck was intercepted at Pedu Junction in Cape Coast in the Central Region, en route to Accra.
This interception of over 3,300 kg of cocaine stands as one of the largest cocaine seizures in the country’s history.
French billionaire Vincent Bolloré secured the rights to construct and operate a state-of-the-art container terminal at Tema Port.
A special report drew parallels between Bolloré’s concession in Ghana and a similar deal he obtained for Lomé Port in Togo, allegedly in exchange for financing the 2010 re-election campaign of Togo’s president, Faure Gnassingbé.
“On 26 February this year, Bolloré and two of his fellow executives admitted, in a plea bargain, to bribing the Togolese president in exchange for favors at the port, and were fined €375,000 each. Bolloré’s company paid a €12 million fine (see Box, Bolloré – a monopoly in every port). The judge was so shocked by what they had done in Togo that she rejected details of the plea bargain and ordered a trial of the executives,” the report added.
He was however accused of fraud in 2021.
Read the full story originally published on April 12, 2021, by face2faceafrica.
French billionaire Vincent Bolloré has been accused of shady deals and underhand dealings in the processes leading to his company’s control of Ghana’s largest port, the Tema Harbour.
In a special report, Pan African publication African-Confidential uncovered how Bolloré’s firm, Bolloré Africa Logistics, won the right to build and run a state-of-the-art container terminal at Ghana’s Tema port.
The report described the new container port of Tema as a “lifeline not only for Ghana but for landlocked Burkina Faso and Mali, through their 70% owned joint venture with the Ghana government, Meridian Port Services (MPS).”
The agreement, which was signed under the administration of then Ghanaian President John Mahama, became a subject of a ministerial investigation following his defeat in 2016 to President Nana Akufo-Addo, who secured a second term in December 2020.
The ministerial committee report said the French billionaire and his partners persuaded Mahama to award MPS a new container terminal contract in secret in breach of the country’s procurement laws.
It also said MPS overstated its planned investment which won tax holidays worth $832 million from Ghana’s parliament and that the agreement surreptitiously cut Ghana’s equity in MPS to 15% after first agreeing to 30%.
The committee’s report further claimed that Bolloré and his partners persuaded the government to allow it a monopoly on handling containers, “putting thousands of jobs at other port concerns at risk and driving up prices, and to set tariffs.”
The committee’s report also showed how Bolloré and his partners reduced the fees payable to the government over the life of the concession by $4.1 billion.
To this end, the committee concluded that the deal did not inure to the benefit of Ghana and recommended a renegotiation which the Akufo-Addo administration ignored.
“The terms of the agreements between MPS and the state are so tilted against Ghana’s interests, concluded the report, delivered to ministers in February 2018, they should be renegotiated immediately. Yet the much-criticized contracts are still unchanged,” Africa Confidential said.
Africa Confidential further reported that the history of those relations shows “serious ethical professional deficiencies” with the result that “the engagements have to be carefully and deliberately reviewed.”
The newsletter noted that President Akufo-Addo inherited the situation when he won the 2016 election and “instead of blaming the scandal on his predecessor he has chosen to leave the contracts as they stand while friends and officials of his New Patriotic Party (NPP) take up posts with MPS.”
According to Africa Confidential, although Akufo-Addo faced Mahama in December 2020’s general election, “the topic of the Tema deal did not come up in campaigning.”
“The two men appeared to observe a pact of silence on this and several other instances of alleged bad governance and corruption. Akufo-Addo narrowly won the election (AC Vol 61 No 25). This is the story of how the deal took shape, and how a fightback within the Transport Ministry and the NPP against the MPS deal was finally quashed, and the legendary ability of Vincent Bolloré to accommodate political change asserted itself,” it added.
Bolloré has been accused of running a port monopoly in West Africa as his firm is linked to managing 18 ports in the sub-region.
The report likened Bolloré’s concession of Ghana’s port to one he won for his operations at the port of Lomé, Togo, in return for financing the re-election of the country’s president, Faure Gnassingbé, in 2010.

The Spokesperson for the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu, has criticised President John Dramani Mahama for abolishing the betting tax.
He explained that, as a Muslim, he frowns upon the act of gambling, which he does not want people of his faith to engage in.
Sheikh Aremeyaw said he would have advised Mahama to do otherwise if consulted.
“One thing I’m not enthused about, due to my religious orientation, is betting. The betting tax should have remained, as it would have served as a disincentive. I don’t want to see any young Muslim engaging in any form of betting or game of chance, as my religion strictly prohibits it.
“If the president had sought my opinion, I would have said, ‘Your Excellency, when betting become ingrained in our culture, they erode our spirit of hard work,'” he said while speaking on GTV.
Sheikh Aremeyaw also expressed frustration that President Mahama’s decision to cancel the betting tax would promote laziness among the youth, rather than encouraging them to work diligently to earn a living.
“There’s a reason God created us to work and earn our living. We shouldn’t have a system where young people lack the desire to appreciate the value of hard work and instead seek to make money quickly. I’m not enthused about this, and it’s based on my religious beliefs, not politics,” he added.
On April 2, 2025, President Mahama signed into law the repeal of the betting tax after its approval by Parliament following extensive deliberations.
The repeal implies that the 10% withholding tax on betting, gaming, and lottery winnings has been officially canceled and will no longer be in force, exciting most sports fans in the country.

Bodycon dresses, short for “body conscious,” are a wardrobe staple for women who want to make a bold and stylish statement. These dresses are known for their form-fitting design, which hugs the curves and accentuates the natural shape of the body. With their flattering silhouette, bodycon dresses are perfect for showcasing a woman’s figure, offering both style and confidence in equal measure.
The versatility of bodycon dresses is one of the reasons for their enduring popularity. Available in a wide variety of fabrics, such as cotton, velvet, spandex, and lace, these dresses can be styled for almost any occasion. Whether it’s a night out with friends, a formal dinner, or a date, the bodycon dress can be dressed up or down to suit the setting. Pair it with a blazer and heels for a chic office look, or wear it with a denim jacket and sneakers for a more casual outing.
One of the key features of bodycon dresses is their ability to enhance the wearer’s confidence. The tight fit highlights curves and creates a sleek, streamlined silhouette. The dress is especially flattering for women who want to emphasize their waistline and shape, making it a popular choice for many. Additionally, with the rise of inclusive fashion, bodycon dresses are now available in a range of sizes, making them accessible for women of all shapes and body types.
Bodycon dresses come in various styles, from sleeveless and off-the-shoulder to long-sleeve and high-neck designs. The choice of neckline and sleeve length allows for a customized look, perfect for different seasons and events. Bold prints, bright colors, and metallic finishes add extra flair, while classic black or neutral-colored bodycon dresses offer timeless elegance. The right accessories—such as a statement necklace or a stylish clutch—can further elevate the overall look.
Despite their figure-hugging design, bodycon dresses are also available with features like ruching, peplum details, or strategic seams that can offer a flattering illusion and enhance the comfort level. Many women appreciate the way bodycon dresses allow them to express their personal style while embracing their body shape confidently.
In conclusion, bodycon dresses are an essential piece in every woman’s wardrobe. Their timeless appeal lies in their ability to highlight curves, create a flattering silhouette, and be adapted to any occasion. Whether opting for a classic look or something more daring, a bodycon dress is a perfect choice for women who want to exude confidence and make a statement.
