Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has debuted a new look after regaining freedom from prison custody.
The singer was arrested on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State, following a petition filed by Fuji musician Saheed Osupa.

The petition alleged that Portable made defamatory and inciting statements, as well as threats that could damage Osupa’s reputation and incite violence.

On Monday, a court granted Portable bail in the sum of N1 million. The bail conditions included two sureties—one of whom must be the chairman or secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN). The second surety is required to own land within a government-recognised area and provide a certificate of occupancy.
Despite the bail being approved, Portable was initially taken to the Oke Kura Correctional Centre for failing to meet the requirements on time.
Following his release on Tuesday, the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ singer shared several posts on Instastory, revealing a shaved head in place of his usual colourful hairstyle.
He also issued a public apology to Osupa in one of the videos, saying, “God bless you sir. I’m sorry.”
Osupa’s camp had earlier disclosed that the legal complaint was dropped after respected Nigerians intervened in the matter.
