“They May Be Working For Tinubu” – Dele Momodu Knocks PDP Govs For Rejecting Merger Talk

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dele Momodu has berated the party’s Governors over their decision to reject opposition coalition by former vice president Atiku Abubakar.

Mr. Momodu noted that the refusal of the governors proved that they are working for President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressive Congress.

Recall that Atiku, who was PDP’s former presidential candidate had announced his plan to create a strong coalition with former Kaduna State governor,  Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

Meanwhile, Mr. Momodu during an interview on Arise TV, noted that no opposition party can remove Tinubu with coalition with other political group.

He added that APC had done something similar in the past, adding that the ruling party need to be payback in it own coin.

Momodu said: “Opposition leaders are very determined to work together this time around, the truth of the matter is that Atiku cannot do it alone, Peter Obi cannot do it alone, and Kwankwaso cannot do it alone, and whosoever wants to run.

“They have to find a way to pay the APC back in its own coin. I was one of those who supported APC in 2014 and 2015, they are going to pay them back in their own coin by at least trying to get a chunk of all the parties including APC to come together.

“If our (PDP) governors are saying, ‘Oh, we don’t go into coalitions,’ it means you are probably working for a Tinubu presidency.”
